I greatly enjoy various Japanese products, but have no desire to be Japanese or live in Japan. Also I wanted to punch someone in the face when I saw/heard Japanese honorifics in the US version of Persona 3.

Just tonight, there was a special guest on the public radio station. The host said something like, "Some people, especially over 30, might not be familiar with this... ah-nee-may..." Then they started talking about Miyazaki and I was like OHHHH, anime. They played sweet arrangements of Howl's Moving Castle's soundtrack and all was good.
