And I've only had the system for about a month.
Anyone ever have the same problem?
Have you seen the 360's failure rate? This isn't really that surprising. :(
I thought someone said they improved. :awesome:
They have.
Did it actually red ring or what? If not, it could potentially fix itself. I'd wait a couple days. Heck, it used to do that for a few weeks straight back around christmas.
No Red Rings.
Just Freezies.
Yeah, I'd wait. If you have a cool room in your house pop it in there over night.
My room has central air which I blast every night down to 69 C so I don't think that's the problem.
But everytime I start it up it gives off these BRRIZZ sounds which I didn't have before. :(
enjoy yer brick
I'll go find a box to ship it in tomorrow.
they send you a box.
or used to anyways
Told me I had to provide my own.
Also said they're gonna e-mail me the address and ****.
gay
But you were just online and everything
Probably shows him signing in fine while his box is frozen.
Yea, Just yesterday.
Nothing changed from then till now but this had to happen.
lol
I'm sure glad mine isn't faulty like yours, then!
*RED RING*
******* deserves whatever it is that's making him scream
it's funny because a red light is coming up from below.
Fuuuuuuuuuuck. I hope it's just Disc 4 that doesn't require to be read as much, but sometimes when I start up Lost Odyssey, it doesn't sound as much as it use to.
I wonder if it's a bad thing that I'm concerned about something that makes less noise than it usually does. But I **** sure hope they put my console together correctly. Otherwise, keep a seat for me Arc.
My xbox doesn't rev for CoD4 at all. Loads slower, but plays fine anyways.
Usually when the drive quiets down like that it's because of a disc read error, and you'll know when you get one when you start to hear a clicking noise. Best solution for that is to use a soft cloth (like the ones for glasses) and rub the disc. Fixes if for me no problem, because it used to happen with Mass Effect and a few other games.
Well, I get back on it and it worked. All of the dashboard was able to load up but I still wanted to be sure I can play online so I decided to have some Halo. Got the people together for Team Slayer with ease and then we went inot the actual match. 5 minutes into it it just completely froze again but I was able to open the disc tray and it took me to the dashboard again. Also the noise when it starts up is still there so I still think I'm going to mail it in for repairs. I've got the UPS paper to tape on the box. Instructions said to take to a UPS Store or Stables/Office Depot and give it to them. Will I get charged for fees or it'll be wavered since it's considered a return from what the paper says?
Hopefully they won't bring it back thinking it works perfectly fine. I'm guessing they check everything from online play to the actual system itself.
How do they check for what's wrong anyway?
Because my box has a big fan on the back of it, it won't overheat, but it's bloody loud.
*press on button* GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
and the fan still runs if it's charging up a controller.
Yeah when I got my 360 back the power button was all ****ed up. It was harder to push in. But it works fine, so I don't care.
who uses the button on the console anyways?
Good idea. Will do.
Got all the supplies to ship it out. Gonna do it tonight.
Funny... I've never had any problems with my 360, and I have it sitting underneath other huge, overheating electronics (Sega Genesis and a VCR).
I wonder if a game could be programmed to turn on the RROD. Eternal Darkness 2 should totally use that for an insanity effect if Silicon Knights makes it for the 360.
That would be awesome. If only MS would let them do it.
So I got a 360 back.
But it isn't the one I sent!
Don't know how to take this but I bought Bioshock today to see how it'll go.
And when it got sent I got a free month on live.
wooooo!
Well, everything seems to work right.
Except the first time I put a game in it said unreadable disc.
Freaked out for a second until I took it out and put it back in.
Worked fine. Works fine online. Just that it isn't my original box. :(
It's just plastic tampon-shaped box filled with wires, computer chips, LEDs, and so forth. There's no point in being sentimental over it.
bioshock for the ****ing win
yeah, I knew you wouldn't get your old box back. They have stockpiles of refurbs waiting to be shipped off. Yours will soon be one of them.
