I play both, currently. My roommate also plays, but she is still working on beating both GH2 and GH3 on Expert.

RB controller sucks. GHIII controller is awwight, but the Xbox GHII controller is the best imo
I like the Wii GH3 controller the best, actually. But the GH4 controller looks pretty pimp, gonna take a lot of will power not to buy it.
only problem I found with the rockband controller was that the buttons made noise when you released them. so you would hear the song but then you would also hear the buttons making noises and so it would appear offbeat and screw you up sometimes. also whenever I play run to the hills the strum bar feels non-responsive for some reason.
I just find the GHII controller to be the quickest in response.
Which you really need in GH2
The GH2 controller's Whammy Bar wears out, the strum bar is way too loud, and you can hear yourself pressing the fret buttons. I'm sold. :)
Ahhh, I really dislike the RB strum bar. It just feels unresponsive especially during faster songs. I don't know how to describe it. And the fret buttons are so stiff in my opinion.
I'm not sure if other people really find that a problem.
I don't mind the fret buttons on the Rock Band guitar controller at all. They don't bother me. It's the strum bar, like you said. It doesn't feel like you're hitting it sometimes.
Yeah, it feels inaccurate and (I'm having trouble describing this) idk like airy. With the GH controller I can feel when I'm strumming each note etc. and it feels responsive and such.
I think I'm used to the clicking noise the Guitar Hero controller makes when I strum. Maybe that's my problem.
In my opinion, I think that the Rock Band guitar could do with some improvements.
well, this xmas rockband2 comes out so maybe along with their new drum set will come a new guitar?
