Mewtwo. if the match is drawn out, Mewtwo comes in to finish it for me with its speed and attack.

Depends on the game I'm playing.
Pokemon blue and red: Charizard. I usually pick Charmander and I train him all along the game. And my usual "back-up" pokemon in case of shameful failure is Nidoking because I usually catch a nidoran right at the beginning on the game.
Pokemon Yellow: Same as blue and yellow except I train Pikachu instead of Charizard.
For Pokemon Stadium: Zapdos or Gengar.
Now my ace is a Tyranitar. trained as soon as it was caught. Its attack is high, so almost every move is physical. its defense and special defense are also good, so it makes up for average speed. Mewtwo would still beat it with aura sphere, unless i give Tyranitar focus sash and use Crunch.
