So, today our dear politicians decided to pass a law that allows them to scrutinize everything that goes outside of our borders, electronically at least. E-mail, web pages you visit, people you call or send text messages to.. It'll all be stored in some government super-computer.
I have no idea when we decided to go commie, but it sure as hell looks as though we're on the right path. It won't be enforced until January 1st, 2009, but that's bad enough. It's a violation of the European Convention on Human Rights, and our constitution as well. But do they care? Obviously not. I'm generally not politically involved, but I felt that this affected me a lot. I even sent e-mail to a select few from every political party.
I don't really have anything to hide, but hey, I don't really want people reading my emails. When you give that anti-democratic power to a government, you know they're going to start abusing it as soon as possible.

I thought Socialism and Communism were just economic systems that could easilly operate under a democratic form of government, while historical construction by newspapers of the 1930's said otherwise.
