What is a good hard drive that you can get for about 150 Australian dollars? I don't need that much storage, 100gb is more than enough, and I want it to be as fast as possible.

These are the drives I would get currently. Don't know about Australian munnies though so might be over the price. Both drives should perform well but if you have the option go for the SATA option.
Well, I can tell you NOT to get a Pine/Samsung. Absolutely terrible. Or at least, mine is.

Maxtor are great at hard drives. I had one that lasted me ten years; I can't complain about that lifespan.

I have 2 maxtor harddisks. They're awesome. They run fast and without any hitches.
