I'm trying to get upgrades but it seems the only way to do it is Kara. And I'm trying to get decent enough gear to get into the only morning raid guild on the server so I can do Kara. I've looked at the loot tables for all Outland Heroics and there's fuck all for tanks. Is PVP the only way?
No, unfortunately you have to grab all of your stuff to prep for Kara from mostly non-heroics and like one or two heroics.
It's easier for Feral Druids because they can buy half of their gear off the AH, but warrior tanks get the shaft there, they have to group for everything. Most of the gear doesn't seem to drop very often either, you might want to be prepared for some instance grinding.
Just realised I can get badge gear, which explains the crappy heroic loot tables. Whatever, I joined the guild in the end so I should be able to get kara stuff.

here's the guy I made to play with my friends, Brauner, level 32 warrior. He rocks :cool:.
My first 70 and first main was an orc warlock named Longcat, member of the guild Initech on the server medivh (armory: http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Medivh&n=Longcat). We were a raiding guild that fought it out for number 2 on the server, clearing mag and gruul and dipping our toes into ssctk. Might not sound like much now, but I havent played him since may of 2006.
My seconds 70, once I came back from bootcamp, was Rawrbomb, a tauren druid, resto spec'd for great pvp ownage* (armory: http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Demon+Soul&n=Rawrbomb). I sorta bounced around from guild to guild on that one, mostly just doing pvp wioth buddies. However, I did mainheal for everything up to hyjal (3/6).
SAdly the only picture I have is of a gruul raid (highking, actually) that I took to show someone on a guild forum in a contest we were having to see how had the least screen space available for playing.
