Futurama

Its back for an all new season on Comedy Central. Thoughts?

It's just the movies split into 4 episodes each. Idk, I saw Bender Big Score awhile ago and thought it was pretty alright.

I dug Bender's Big Score. Futurama certainly fared better with being renewed than Family Guy did.

the movies just 4 out of 15 new episodes theyre planing to do

There are four straight-to-DVD movies. Those four are being split into the 15 episodes which make up the new season. The "4 out of 15" episodes is the first movie, Bender's Big Score.

I was kind of disapointed to hear that. I was hoping for more than a season of Futurama, but I guess I can't complain.

....but wait, this is old news is it not?

Very old news. It just recently started actually airing on Comedy Central, though, which is the reason for this thread, I think.

weird, I thought it had already begun airing awhile ago. Either way, I should get around to watching it.

The first movie had been done for quite awhile now. A friend of mine was able to download it last August.

I think fans will like it.

Amazon has the second DVD movie, Beast With A Billion Backs, coming out on June 24th.

I really enjoyed the last movie, so I'm looking forward to this quite a bit

Sounds like they're testing the water. DVDs don't give a very accurate idea of how well a show is going to do on TV (what's up, arrested development) so splitting them up into episodes probably means they want to start making new episodes. High ratings, new season.
