I know I'm going to sound like a dick when I say this, but I honestly think a lot of the so-called "pro's" on VGC aren't really that good. Is it the lack of wavedash that cripples them, having to actually walk? I don't know. They just haven't seemed that good.

I think Bulb just sucked initially because it's a huge jump for him from Melee, but he'll get better. I was lucky enough to start out decent with Brawl since I find the game mechanics far more comfortable.

FFAs with items are mostly about item luck than real skill, as far as I've experienced.

See, that also bugs me, the fact that several of you guys only seem to pick a single character (Iris, looking at you). The characters are far more balanced now. You should all try to branch out.
On WiFi, I never choose the same character twice in a row. Even if I always wreck your **** as Falco.
I've got like four or five that I switch between daily, and I still **** around with others. Arc's just gotten beaten by me more times with Pikachu than anyone else, I guess.

Psh. I only stick with Zelda when I feel like I'm getting in some good training with her. I still use Peach, Lucas, Snake, Zamus, Ike, Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Ness, and Ganondorf for fun any other time. Granted, never really break from the confines of them, but I definitely don't use Zelda exclusively unless the person I'm playing puts up a really good enough fight for me to use Zelda a few times to build more strategies and get more experience with her.

Ike's range is incredible, as well as his kill power. I think I just underestimate his range and such too much when I fight against him.

Man, Snake has waaaaay many easter eggs in this game, it's so awesome. So far I've noticed:
- His audience chant is 'Snake? SNAKE? SNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE!'
- When Grey Fox appears as in assist while Snake is in the Brawl he says 'Just like old times, eh Snake?'
- Planting C4 on Samus transforms it into the butterfly C4 from Snake Eater
- If he's KO'd during a codec transmission, you get the usual 'Snake? SNAKE? SNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE!'
- Try crawling over mines.
