Mondriaan Stopmotion Animation

Posted by Groeneg

I made this small stopmotion animation after I saw a lot of Mondriaan's paintings in a local museum the other day.
I thought it would be a nice idea to try to animate some of his Composition pieces.
It is surely not the best I ever made but perhaps still fun to watch?

Not spam, but should be moved to Art and Graphics.

It's a very nice idea. Perhaps this is because I'm used to watching professional stop-motion animation on TV, but can I suggest you use more frames? It seems like the jumps between frames are too large. You should also be careful not to move your camera shot in between frames, either.

Still, I like it. What did you mean by the message at the end?

The message is a kind of joke.

The artist Barnett Newman made a cubistic painting called
Who's Afraid of Red, Yellow, and Blue?

He was even more into the abstractive cubism form then Mondriaan. So since i wanted I nice way to a finale i choose to use the remaining primairy colors for this purpose.

Hope this answers you question?
