Went and got my 1/2 sleeve started today. We finished up the outline in just over an hour so we started in on the shading and filling in a little bit. I'm scheduled for my next session to fill the majority of it in on April 3rd, but not sure if I'll need another one after that or if we can do it all that day. There's a ton of confusing swirly spiraly things (as usual with all of my tats) so I don't want to rush through it and eff something up.
The design is based off of this Andy Warhol rug of all things:

It's coming out really nice, that is, if you prove the right colouring. What colours did you have in mind?
At first I thought the photos were of the end result - even right now, it looks like a solid tattoo. I imagine it'll look great once it's been shaded.
It's mainly going to be in greyscale to go along with my other ones, but with a touch of color here and there within the flowers. I'll probably stick with dark colors though, dark reds, purples and blues. I have a few weeks to think it over though.
That looks neat. It'll probably look even better when it's done.
nice choice. I've seen far too many flower designs that are either over-the-top or just plain boring, but that one's pretty good. Simple in a more intricate way, but also real nice.

I like it alot. I also like that you're sticking with dark colors. I can't wait to see the end results.
Finished up round 2 yesterday. I still have a little bit more color to add on the top flower and on the back, but I wasn't sure exactly how I wanted to do it or if I wanted to keep with the dark red or add a third color like yellow or orange to some of the flowers. but it's nearly done... maybe just another hour or so once I figure my **** out. It looks almost hot pink in the picture, but I assure you its a deep red, just covered in lotion goop which is making the black look gray too.

Thanks. Between the 2 sessions it's taken about 5 hours so far, which isn't bad at all.
