This thread filled me with a deep sadness.
It's a shame Psynergy wasn't really useful past level 30 or so.
Wasn't really partial to it but that was on an emulator. I figure if I could pick it up for DS and play it while on a trip or something it'd keep my attention more.
Definitely my favorite original rpg for advance. I don't completely understand why, though. Something about everything being awesome.

Golden Sun sucks.
The only good part of GS was the dungeon puzzles. Everything else sucked.
Had one of the first YOU MUST BUY THE NEXT GAME TO FIND OUT MORE! cliffhanger endings. **** that.
And then there were those long as **** passwords you had to input to tranfer stuff from the previous game, if you didn't have 2 GBAs and a link cable. I BEAT THE GAME FASTER THAN IT TOOK ME TO PUT THAT ****ING PASSWORD IN.
Worth it to have all my Djinn and subsequently skip all the grindan in the endgame.
And to have two Sol Blades. Isaac and Felix constantly getting Megiddos against the Doom Dragon? Win in like, 4 turns.
allow me to elaborate on why it is awful;
1. too ****in wordy, all the characters had those annoying ***awful emoticon thoughts
2. the yes and no features were useless.
3 Japanesey story, only enjoyable by the mentally deficient or 12 year olds who think army of two will be awesome
4. every cookie cutter final fantasy stock, flat character ever was included.
5. dungeons wers ****
6. awful, boring gameplay
7. received rave reveiws because it was the only gba rpg for a while
8. boring battle system

I liked Golden Sun's battle system better than that of any Final Fantasy game.
I also liked Golden Sun's dungeons better than any Legend of Zelda dungeon.
I also liked the story better than most games that I've played through.
I LIKE wordy. Not much wonder that I liked Morrowind better than Oblivion.
