ok i kno this is still a rumor but you have to admit that if it was true it would be totaly kickass http://www.g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/post/681986/Goldeneye_Coming_To_Xbox_Live.html
It'd hold my interest for all of three days.
XBLA would get it before VC? Uh...
Microsoft owns Rare, the makers of Goldeneye, and I believe EA owns the rights to the James Bond license. It wouldn't be hard for MS to throw some cash at EA to get the game on their platform.
More like Goldeneye: Rogue Agent coming to XBox Originals, amirite? Activision Blizzard have the rights to Bond, by the way.
Best thing that could happen to Rare.
EA, Actiblizzion. Same difference. MS just needs to throw cash at either or to get the game on their system.
I certainly don't think this game would withstand the test of time.
It'd be some good fun for a bit, though.
I already know it's not worth buying, but I would buy it anyway, play it a few days, and come to the conlusion that it wasn't worth it.
Goldeneye with a modern control scheme could be enjoyable. Try playing it on the N64 nowadays, however, and you'd be ****ed. Using buttons to aim? oh jeez.
I still play it with a couple friends...

:'(
... It was real. With online multiplayer. holy ****. Would have paid 1200 points for it.
like the article said, complain loudly and theres an extremly slight chance we can still get it
If Nintendo and Rare couldn't agree on a royalties split, why didn't they just settle on selling it over both XBLA and VC? Seems like a fair deal.
NO MULTIPLAYER ON WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
HAHAHAHA
probably because MS didn't want that ****. Exclusivity.
They lose money because they've already paid Rare employees as they worked on the port. It'd make so much sense just to split the royalties with Nintendo and make some money off this investment, thus far, rather than be ****y and not split the cash.
