(1) "Travel Master" case that looks identical to the Block Buster one, only it doesn't have the sticker. Nor is there a place for one. Rare? :dunno:

Want List=

Maybe SD Gundam if I have extra $$$ to burn.

Check ebay. That's the best source for buying games. Start off with the more affordable ones. Currently, there are only 2 pages of VB auctions on ebay. Usually there are more. Personally, I think all of the games for it (all but Water World) are fun. Then again, you are talking to a VB junkie. Wario Land would be a good one to obtain.

If you look at your first post, there should be three buttons on the bottom right. One is labelled 'Edit'. You can use this to edit previous posts. ;)

...And afterwards if you can't delete that second post yourself, I can do it for you. :)

...And GameMiestro, BUY ONE!!! :p:

I won a Nintendo Virtual Boy off of eBay a few days ago. It was $103 plus shipping. It's in good working condition, with power supply, a controller, and seven carts: Mario Tennis, Galactic Pinball, Baseball, Panic Bomber, Teleroboxer, Red Alarm, and Wario Land.

I know that some folks were not impressed with the VB's red LED 3D displays, but a few years ago I tried a couple of VB games (the boxing one, Mario Clash) and I was really impressed with the 3D effect.

My Virtual Boy arrived in the mail yesterday. It works perfectly: I found that it needed little adjustment or focusing, and my eyes weren't bothered in the slightest - no headaches or anything like that.

Good: I played it for about 90 minutes last night and was generally happy with it. The stereoscopic effect is very good, and the "3D" look was flawless. For some of the games, the 3D effect really does add a lot to the gameplay.
The controller is pretty good, and although you can't see the buttons while you've got your face stuck into the viewer, I had little trouble working the controller.

Bad: It took me about five minutes to figure out how to get power plugged into the Virtual Boy! You plug a Super Nintendo power cable into a special plastic adaptor piece, then clip that onto the back of the controller. The current passes through the controller (which has a power on/off switch) into the controller socket. If you don't have a controller plugged in, the VB can't power up. Weird but workable.

The red monochrome display is the deal-breaker here. As good as the 3D effect is, it's really brought down by the red-only display. If you are 'immersed' in the game you get accustomed to the lack of other colours, but it's definitely a bummer.

I have a pretty good selection now (half the US releases!) but the library is lacking for the VB. Two different bowling games and two different versions of Tetris, yet there are no racing games or FPS shooters (you'd think Wolf 3D or DOOM would be a natural on the VB).

Overall I am pretty pleased with my VB and will get good entertainment for my $100 purchase.
