My artwork

Alright, I'm looking for critiquing, not compliments, although anything anyone says is appreciated. Be harsh, cruel, etc. I haven't had a proper critique on any of my stuff, thanks in advance! :D

I make sketches, then I photoshop them, anime style all-around. This is a character I developed as a commission for my boyfriend. :) http://img521.imageshack.us/img521/2781/exendriawpby8.jpg

And a chibi version of myself lol, I only recently learned how to draw chibi style, srsly like in the last month(ignore the pink background, it's unfinished, just focus on the character drawing plzkthx): http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/1625/baseballgirlcolormergedsd8.jpg

Former avatar, inked in PS: http://img292.imageshack.us/img292/8407/lenacloseupir5.jpg

Various other sketches, mostly attempts at character designs, not particularly dynamic poses:

Whew, that's barely the tip of my portfolio iceberg, but I didn't wanna bore you guys. Now let the thrashing begin. :p:

Your form is very off as far as things go. Best advice I can give is enroll in a figure drawing class, or sketch people you know in odd positions. I used to sketch my friends during class when they weren't looking. A day at the park with a sketch pad can do the same. You're trying to mimic the anime style but you don't have quite the understanding of figure necessary to fully emulate it. Good job, definately needs work though.

Chibi you made me lol

I'm with Soulrock on this one. Once you can draw the human form fairly realistically, applying the anime style will be a sinch and your drawings will be much better for it.

I would draw the chins a bit rounder. Makes the females look more feminine, ya know?

also, make the boobs bigger

Ant makes a point there, yes. Your vertexes are a little too drastic on the faces; it makes them look elongated and in some cases, inhuman. Women, more in real life than in anime, tend to have a slight curvature at the chin... of course that's depending on the facial structure but still. Points like that are usually only used as a form of satire.

Second, some of your pictures are lacking some of the angular qualities of the female body. This one for example http://img292.imageshack.us/img292/6987/cimg1674zg8.jpg, looks to have an extremely large stomach that doesn't quite connect with the hips at the angle its placed. It may be a differing angle now that I think about it, from waist to head being two different themes. Also, the connection of arms to the torso seems to be a little difficult for you.

Muscle structure is probably something you should study up on. It'll do ya wonders.
