I don't have the money for one right now but i should be getting one when the price drops a little, anyone know when that might be? Thats the 80 gig by the way(gotta have the best)
Rumors says that in November a 40gb PS3 will be launched and listed at $399, while the 80gb model will have a price drop to $499.
So, yeah.. A price drop during the Holiday Season, perfect.
Hey that doesn't sound too bad, will the 40gb have same/similar features as the 60 and 80gb?
I'm not so sure, they probably will make it have the same features if they want to compete with Microsoft.
The 40GB PS3 is obviously cheaper for a reason, but the loss of hard drive space is just the beginning. It also loses two USB ports, its memory card slots, and all backward compatibility.

Now that sucks because i have a 40 game ps2 library and it's hard to get rid of them now :(
40 PS2 games and no PS2?
Well obviously I have a ps2
100TH POST!!!!!
Then you wouldn't really have to get rid of your PS2 games if your PS3 wasn't backward compatible, right? Just making an observation.
I've heard from more than one source at my local EB that alternating between PS1/PS2 games and PS3 titles will actually put a strain on a PS3 and mess it up over time because of the changes in disc speed. Supposedly, it's the same with Xbox games on the 360. Of course, EB workers aren't the #1 source to go to for credible info, but if they're right, I wouldn't trust my PS2 games running on my PS3 anyway.
Well maybe I don't have to get rid of PS2, the 40 gig doesn't sound all that bad now
yeah expect a price drop when the PS4 gets announced its in the making. ( another price drop)
I'm sure the PS4 won't be coming out or become announced for a pretty LONG time.
Therefore, he doesn't have to wait, nor does he have to get a PS3 when a newer version of the system is set for release. |: |
yeah but its already dropped in price, so why would they drop it twice soon?
