Who here remembers the RTS Dark Reign games? They were my introduction to the RTS genre, which led me to Star Craft and Blizzard. I think if Actovision had stuck with keeping the graphics the way they did in the first two installments instead of jumping to their flimsy 3D engine, and explored more possabilities with their editor, the Dark Reign franchise would have stuck around.
As much criticisims I have for the series not making it, I also have apraises. Water and electricity resource managment was handled very effeciently, very traditional, but still acted original. Story line was pretty good too.
Anyone else remember and liked the original Dark Reign games?
