I just started to play this game, and it is pretty cool! I am in the town, and I am going to the graveyard to save the child. Anyone else play it?
Yes, it is quite good. It's a real shame it never got released because it is an excellent game.
I played through 'Earthbound' (with NesterDC). It kind of plays like 'Dragon Warrior' with the excessive amount of leveling up that's required.
I like the modern day setting, although they could have had a few more locations besides the usual cliched RPG style caves and dungeons.
I've never played through the SNES 'Earthbound', but the NES one (unreleased or not) could have been a lot better.
However, any game that lets me beat up an "angry hippie" with a baseball bat can't go unplayed.
Mother is probably the best RPG for NES. I played far into it but never completed it, it's an excellent game though. I still hope they release the Mother Collection for GBA or otherwise, stateside.
