The transformations come from ooparts from various tribes: a skull fossil for Fire Dinosaur, a sword for Thunder Berserk, and a shuriken for Green Shinobi. The transformations are also activated by shouting the catch-phrase "Tribe-On!" Also, there is a yeti-like figure as a boss character.[4]
In August 2007, Capcom launched the official website for Ryūsei no Rockman 2. On it, they revealed a November 2007 release date in Japan, as well as the presence of two versions instead of the predecessor's three: Berserk

On top of that, we have some new info from CoroCoro, courtesy of Fireman. Subaru's rival character is introduced, and his name is Bly (Burai). It's said this character gains his strength from being alone. Bly is only shown in his transformed state. According to Fireman, he's mostly black and red, and has a large visor that extends outward at four points. One of his hands glows with a purple energy.
The first boss is revealed to be another transformed human named Phantom Black, who has blond dreads. There is also another character shown named Orihime-sama, but not much is known about this character. Both, however, are part of an organization that's searching for the ooparts.
Also according to Fireman, the appearance of Battle Cards has changed a little, and there may be some difference in what certain cards to depending on their version (rather than just being the same attack but stronger).
And finally, Capcom expects to release Ryuusei no Rockman 2 in Japan sometime this November. Not very far off.

So, only two versions this time - Green Shinobi and Fire Dinosaur. The thunder form (Thunder Berserk) appears in both games. You can also merge any combination of two forms. =)
The game deals with ooparts - Out-Of-Place ARTifacts. And the transform sequence is "Tribe On" xP. Two new characters named; Doctor Orihime, and Bly (pronounced Burai), who is Subaru's (Geo's) apparent new rival character (a la Enzan/Chaud).
Revealed bosses include Phantom Black and a yeti guy who doesn't seem to have a name yet (unless I missed it <.< ).

The change was like eh. I still prefer the BN series.
Just wait out for this SF2. But! if you want to test out and get into the controls and styles of the game, well buy it.
