Actually, some Leviathan cheers me up in a "wow, that was pretty cheesy" way :)

I just found Kayo Dot's release to be a big disappointment after "Leaving Your Body Map"

Posted by Klarth

I don't like Dowsing... whatever, but Choirs of the Eye is excellent.

Posted by Vampiro V. Empire

That's the record I'm talking about. Not a huge fan and I love Maudlin's tuff.

Posted by Crazy K

I would say...

Porcupine Tree
Dream Theater
Flight of the Conchords
Led Zeppelin
Pink Floyd
Alcest
Explosions in the sky
Jeff Buckley
and much more

I know there are more.

Stoner doom does a pretty good job at making me feel upbeat. Astroqueen, Electric Wizard, Fireball Ministry, and all the usual suspects do the trick.

Also, ethereal music like Anuna and Paysage d'Hiver's non-black metal material (see: Die Festung) make me feel really nice and relaxed.

Posted by Phantasm

[quote]Kozi
Malice Mizer
The Protomen

what, what and what
malice mizer 10 bucks at Voyage era!

the brave fencer musashi soundtrack, yeah.
the beatles
[currently] the requiem for a dream remixed song by clint mansell. it gets me a bit to happy
any oshare kei ;D
the flashbult does the trick too
moi dix mois
Phantasmagoria

maybe some other ones. Too lazy to continue.

Posted by Near

Bob Marley's music seems to always put me in a better mood.

Posted by Creedence

Billy Joel
Queen
Bob Segar
Stix
CCR

bout it

Posted by Shade

A few albums come to mind.

Porcupine Tree ~ Lightbulb Sun
Alcest ~ Souvenirs d'un autre monde
Tuatha de Danann ~ Trova di Danu
3 Doors Down ~ Seventeen Days
Ayreon ~ The Human Equation
Devin Townsend ~ Accelerated Evolution

Oh, and the Golden Sun OST. =D

Posted by Grave Wisdom

no DRAEMZ THAETREEA?

Posted by Shade

Yeah, this whole DT fag thing you have going really needs to stop.

Posted by Grave Wisdom

Well, you had a big hard-on for them before. And besides, it's fun to mess with you about that :)

Posted by Sion_thefallenangel

I would have to say for me,

High and Mighty Color
Gackt
Six Feet under
Murderdolls
some random anime music
Silent Hill soundtrack

You're saying Honey Vanity, Brise and Unrest in the House of Light don't cheer you up? You are no man.

Music that cheers me up....

I know for sure that Gorillaz never fails at cheering me up. It's the band I listened to after I learned that my grandfather died.

Quoting Shade: Yeah, this whole DT fag thing you have going really needs to stop.

haha... no it doesn't

I'll just name some songs since there's few bands I listen to that don't have sad songs as well.

Iron Maiden - The Trooper, The Wicker Man
Redemption - Threads
Porcupine Tree - Trains, The Rest Will Flow
dredg - Symbol Song
Dream Theater - The Dark Eternal Night
Helloween - I Want Out
Muse - Starlight, The Small Print

Also pretty much anything by Tenacious D.

For some reason Run to the Hills does it for me too. Even though it's not the most upbeat lyrically.

Posted by Hyper

I'd have listed it if I listened enough. The rhythm gets me going pretty well.

Posted by Corrupt

No matter what the case, on every single occasion, Mr. Henry Collins (a.k.a. "Shitmat") never fails to lift my spirits. Also, I'll occasionally listen to that sugary sweet, sappy trance that I used to obsess over (such as Starsplash, Tune Up!, Rocco, etc) when I'm feeling down, though most of the time it just winds up irritating me.

Posted by Fate

While there may be a few songs here and there that cheer me up, I think Rogue Wave's "Eyes" never fail.
