First he sketches a gun, next he'll be shooting up the place. The school did the right thing.

Posted by Fate

Looks like a street with weird sidewalks. wtf

Posted by Shade

Reminds me of when my friend got expelled for putting a drop of Propel Fitness Water in my teacher's coffee. The teacher confirmed it was just Propel, but he was still expelled because it could indicate he would exhibit more hazardous behavior in the future.

I hate America.

Posted by Slade

What is that drawn on the side of the gun...? oh, smiley faces. Good call, school board. You got him.

Posted by Shade

How old was this kid, exactly?

Posted by Dexter

Xenos, I forbid you to create another thread about school. I predicted it before I clicked it.

Posted by Linko_16

Arizona? I'm not surprised. Lot of morons here, especially in the schools (students and faculty).

I like how it's obviously a drawing of a street, even if maybe it just started out that way and he added a handle and barrel later for giggles.

Quoting Shade: How old was this kid, exactly?

First thing it says is that he's thirteen.

EDIT - Oh, ****, I just got the irony. He drew a gun. Like in a duel. Lawlz.

Posted by Zeta

I got suspended in 3rd grade for play-fighting with a friend. Hell, we were doing it all slow-motion style.

What the ****?

Posted by s0ul

I got suspended once for telling a kid not to talk to me because I'll be suspended if I do.

Posted by Vampiro V. Empire

The gun is just an excuse. It's quite obvious the real reason is because he's 13 and draws like a mentally retarded five year-old.

Posted by Crazy K

They stopped a potential killer. lol

Posted by Klarth

THINGS I HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED FOR (chronologically!):

1995: Speaking with English accent
1995: Saying 'crap' within earshot of teacher
1996: Refusing to write down the numbers one to a hundred on the hundredth day of school, on account of it being totally ****ing pointless
1996: Speaking with English accent
1996: Bringing a can of Coke to school
1996: Throwing away a disposable spoon at lunchtime, instead of returning it to the lunch monitor to be washed and reused
1996: Refusing to salute the American flag
1997: Biting another kid (okay, this time I deserved it.)
1997: Apologising to the kid I bit upon returning to school
1998: Explaining in music class that "My Country Tis of Thee" was a plagiarism of "*** Save The Queen"
1998: Falling off a playground while wearing sandals, driving a massive splinter under my toenail, losing my **** at the teacher when she refused to let me go to the nurse. (The school later compensated me by paying for new sandals, as the ones I'd been wearing were soaked in blood and didn't smell very good)
1998: Arguing about evolution with religion teacher
1999: Bringing a bag of nuts to school, as some children could have had allergic reactions from looking at them. (I guess it's pretty karmic that I'm now severely allergic to them myself.)
1999: Reading a Douglas Adams book during "reading time". Two reasons were given; the first was that it was "pornography", the second was that I was discouraging the other children, who were all reading aloud to themselves from picture books.

Later that year we moved back to the UK. Since then the only major **** I've been in has been computer-related, and I've been on the verge of suspension for each incident:

2000: Putting my feet up on a library keyboard
2000: Bashing someone over the head with a library keyboard
2001: Showing other kids how to circumvent the content-filtering software
2001: Sending death threat emails to a friend, who thought it was hilarious. School didn't.
2004: Selling pirated DVDs.

Posted by Crazy K

I have never gotten suspended. lol the only time I got into any trouble was when me and my brother were wrestling in elementary school outside. One of the so called "Lunch Ladies" saw us and grabbed us both. She reported us to the principal. We were put in some sort of food detention where me and him had to think about what we did and that we should never do it again. lol I'm not hardcore.

There was another time when I refused to eat a peanut in pre-school, they tried to force it on me. Anyways they put me in the corner. lol.

I can't recall anything serious. Oh I was sent to some sort of detention called RTC (Lol gay) one time in 8th grade. I was talking out of turn in art class.

Posted by Shade

I got suspended for a day for throwing a pebble.

Not at a student. Just threw one.

Posted by Vampiro V. Empire

I got suspended a lot for poor attendance (which boggled my mind) and often for wearing the wrong shoes or not tucking in my shirt. Never for actually doing anything bad, however. Go figure.

Posted by Shade

Not tucking in your shirt? o_O

wtf

Posted by Vampiro V. Empire

Posted by mis0

This happened to me once. Well, I deserved it I guess. There was this stupid ***** who was always really mean to me in class, and I decided one day she'd probably stop if I told her I would "****ing murder you". I was suspended three days for that one.

That was the only time I was ever suspended, and I think I was a freshman at the time. I've been in trouble for playing with the school phones/pay phones on campus, parking violations, and bypassing school network security crap so I could post on various forums instead of doing my work. All of those earned me a measly slap on the wrist.

On topic, that doesn't even look much like a gun. I agree with Linko; it looks very much like a street that was 'gunified' for laughs. School administration types can have severely hyperbolic reactions to harmless things, and this is just another example. I wouldn't be surprised if they've just made this kid less likely to cooperate with them if they need his help in the near future.

Posted by Speedfreak

I can't believe a drawing that crappy could be drawn by a 13 year old.

I drew stickmen killing eachother with ridiculous amounts of blood spurting all over in my practise exam papers, never got anything for it.

Did get suspended for defending myself when some kid started to beat me up, though.

Posted by Iris

If something like that happened to me or my child, I'd totally throw a *****fit at the school board and hope their ignorance would be publicized.

Posted by s0ul

Haha, oh man, I drew swastikas all over the back of my test once in like 2nd grade. I didn't know what they meant, I just thought they looked cool.

Posted by Linko_16

I got in trouble for a lot of "insubordination" type stuff in Elementary school, but I can't remember what specific things I did. Nothing as bad as my bro, who would do stuff like run home and slam other kids against fences.

In high school, though, they threatened me with expulsion for wearing a hat. It was funny because the principal was all trying to act like my friend at first, and then basicly said, "yeah, cut the **** or we'll expell you."

Posted by Xero

This is just pathetic. Suspending a kid for drawing a gun? There are niggas that yelled out "I'll gun shot you" so many times this year and they never got suspended.

I'm so glad to be in Montreal.

Netman: Haha wow. True rebel :p:

Different schools have different policies. My high school would've done the same, just for other reasons.

Posted by Klarth

[quote]Linko_16 agrees: Ha, how old were you exactly for all these?
Here's a formula! Last digit of year = my age. Unless it's post-2000! Then it's last digit plus ten.

Interesting tidbit: My brother was expelled from the only US school he attended for getting perfect scores on his SATs. Their reasoning was that "he must have learned the answers first or something we hate cheaters!!!". In some ways he had it worse than me; the family of a friend of his sued us after he broke her arm. She was cool about it - he had actually been defending her from her abusive boyfriend - but her parents were not very nice. I'm not sure if school did anything about that, though.

Posted by Sable Wind

I've never been suspended. Or anything. The only thing that I've ever done is gotten a detention--in middle school--for being late. By less than a minute. My locker was all the way on the ****ing world. That teacher ****ing hated me. *******. He just wanted my sweet middle-school *** and was angry he couldn't **** me.

Okay that's a lie, I was ugly back then, but that's not the point.

Though I know an emo kid who used to go to my school--he flipped out in class and flipped over a desk and threatened a teacher. He was expelled. I lol'd. That kid is a serious attention whore and needs help.

Oh, oh, and also, I have a friend who told one of his closest friends he was bisexual (other than me, I was the first one), and she told someone who told someone. Then guys in the school started harassing him. One called him a fag in the hallway and pushed him down a ramp, and my friend punched him, gave the guy a bloody nose (he cried lol) and then my friend was suspended.

Posted by Vampiro V. Empire

Quoted post: and then my friend was suspended.

Heh. It's cool because our school didn't allow you to defend yourself through violence either. Not exactly sure what you were supposed to do if you ever got beaten up, but you weren't allowed to harm your attacker otherwise you could be looking an expulsion. Had to follow the teachings of Jesus after all.

Posted by Sable Wind

You were supposed to tell a teacher of course! Which is such ****, 'cause then you'd get beaten up again for being a tattletaling pussyface.

Posted by Vampiro V. Empire

Adults don't get what childhood is all about these days :( Plus, what are you going to do, let yourself get the **** knocked out of you then tell someone? Hah.

Posted by Linko_16

Quoting netman: Here's a formula! Last digit of year = my age. Unless it's post-2000! Then it's last digit plus ten.

As if. I have a nasty temper sometimes--the one time I did attack someone a teacher witnessed it and didn't do anything. I'm still happy about that moment. It was probably the most badass thing I've ever done. But I've done nothing of the sort since, sadly.

Wait, no, that's a lie, I punched some guy in the kidney and then wailed on his chest one time for constantly harassing me about my relationship. It was funny the first few months, then it was annoying, then he just needed to shut up.

Posted by Vampiro V. Empire

Wow, that was stupid of you.

Quoted post: Huh, I always assumed you were older than me.

How very girly of you.

Posted by Shade

At my school, you only get expelled if you're the attacker. If you defend yourself against somebody you get a week suspension, and then when you get back, you have in school suspensions for a week. Those things are pretty much the most boring experiences ever.

Posted by Sable Wind

ISS is dumb. I'd just do work & read.

Posted by Xenos

I don't quite understand what is the point of suspending someone who is defending themselves. Yes, I know, don't condone violence, but that's somewhat like saying if a rapist comes at you, let them rape you and tell the cops later. If you try to defend yourself, you will go to jail.

Posted by Shade

No pleasure reading. And when you run out of work to do, you're pretty much ****ed.

EDIT: xenos le ninja

There goes my erotica books.

Posted by Shade

So I just found out pretty every book my mom's ever read since I was born is all "sex sex sex"

I don't think I can look at her the same way anymore. =\

Posted by Vampiro V. Empire

You'd be surprised how many women read erotica novels. Though, I'd also say it's different for them too, it's not how a man would view something like that. It's not "porn."

Posted by Shade

I'm now finding it very disturbing how excited she gets when a new one comes out.

Posted by Sable Wind

I love erotica. Laurell K. Hamilton is my guilty pleasure. And then my Bio teacher told me he loved her work too. He said "She's trashy, but's a good trashy." I agreed!

Lol. I want moar erotic nao.

I read one once that either belonged to my mum, her friend, or another woman who shared our villa with us a few years ago. The sex was pretty tame. :(

Posted by Vampiro V. Empire

erotica > porn

Posted by BLUNTMASTER X

Erotica can only convey tits through words or ASCII art. So I say nay.

Posted by Vampiro V. Empire

I like reading =s

I dunno, text can be pretty hot. This forum is a good example of that.

Posted by Sable Wind

Yeah, I like reading it much better. My imagination > pictures.

No kidding, right? But he was an awesome guy. Only he could have said it and it have not have been creepy.

Posted by Linko_16

Erotic stories can be pretty **** hawt. I dunno what "Romantic Novels" are like, though, I just find stuff on the internet.

Posted by Speedfreak

[quote=Vampiro V. Empire;732068]Though, I'd also say it's different for them too, it's not how a man would view something like that. It's not "porn."

Yes it is. It's just porn for women. Women just like to make us think porn for men is bad and dirty and porn for women is sparkly and clean and sophisticated and that they fart stardust and shit flowers.

Posted by Zeta

[quote]they fart stardust and **** flowers.

This is now my fetish. /r/ pics.

Posted by Sable Wind

But that is how it is. :( "Man" porn is nasty, I hate that ****. "Woman" porn, I can make pretty and hot and erotic in my mind. I hate having to see some tired, leather-faced cum-dumpster get it up her hallway vajayjay while screaming incoherently, especially if the guy ****ing her is pug-fugly too. Which they ALWAYS are. I have yet to see an attractive male pornstar. Or even porn amateur.

Erotica is in my mind, therefore the men are always pretty, the women are always not disgusting, and the sex is always arousing. Also, most of the time, the story is focused on the woman anyway and they always make her seem like a likable, respectable individual, unlike the slobbering morons the women are in porn.

it's different, dude. It's quite a bit different, mentally, then how men treat porn for men.

Posted by Linko_16

Yeah, that's true, woman porn is "Oh I appreciate you and I will change myself so we can be together forever" and guy porn is "Oh hi we're the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleading squad, let's all have wild sex."

Not that either of them is less ridiculous than the other.

Posted by Shade

The second option is so much hotter, though.

Posted by Sable Wind

No.

Actually, Linko, the stuff I like isn't like that at all.

Iain Banks' Complicity has some pretty awesome simulated rape. And restaurant upskirt foot-wanking.

Posted by Vampiro V. Empire

simulated rape is the best kind!

Posted by misogenie

At 3am one night, I dumped 2 dozen cans of mango fruit juice made from China on the college football field. I wanted the school to think that the deputy principal is insane and hope that one of the teachers would ring the police to bring a strait jacket and lock him in the mental institute. I hated him because he insulted me for leaving the photocopies of the test on the coffee table when I was having a lunchbreak.

In my late 30's, I was doing casual school office work for the 'work for the dole' scheme. Now thinking back, I wonder if some bright student, who suspected it could be me, might think I should be school principal for giving them my advice: Inspect the football field first to find objects that might injure players. Another possibility is that the teachers and students might take sickness leave more often, but the 'free for all' mango juice could have thrilled them to take far less sick leave and to attend school more often.
I think the deputy principal deliberately insulted me so that I can come up with a solution without saying a word.

It's suppose to be a secret between me and Jesus. You have to be a Christian to see who I am on Judgement Day: book of Revelations from holy bible.

Quoting Vampiro V. Empire: simulated rape is the best kind!

For me, it's the only kind.

I fully support the school for suspending this child. Aside from the fact this sketch is a detailed picture of a gun (complete with smiliey face and stickmen found so frequently on popular models) paper can cause cuts and I wouldnt put it past this clearly sick child that he/she could have attacked, and I beleive kill, at least the entire faculty from said A4 sheet. Thanks *** people came to their sense just quick enough to do something about this deranged pre-teen.
