I bought the first DVD of this series on a whim last time I was at my local Suncoast and it turns it that the investment was actually worth it. While I haven't gotten far into the series (four episodes isn't very far I suppose), I already have a pretty complete understanding of the series from reading the original "The Count of Monte Cristo", but I am interested enough to keep watching (probably not buy more though). The graphic style is...very strange to say the least, I believe the DVD said something about using photoshopped textures. Or something. I would have no idea because I possess no graphic arts knowledge. In any case, it seems like an interesting enough series and I've always had a thing for futuristic worlds set in the past (just a little contradicting).
