At least, IGN says so.
Interesting article. It makes me want to see the movie a lot more. If Ledger is as good as they claim he is, it'll shape up to be a fairly amazing movie. I wasn't expecting the sequel to be able to top the first.
Opinions?
I knew the Joker was gonna be in the sequal due to the ending. That joker pic was pretty cool too. I really cant wait for it.
I guess Katie Holmes was replaced with Maggie Gyllenhaal.
Was the Joker promo shot real or fake? If it's real, I'm worried about how the Joker's gonna turn out.
I guess. It can only get better after Nicholson.
Haha, oh wow. I see now.
Two new promo posters...

... plus, a seven minute long hi-def trailer is going up on the site on Sunday. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwiiiight.
The first one won pretty hard.
This one looks even better.
can't wait.
Just saw the trailer last night at I Am Legend. :) It was fairly awesome. Can it be found online?
There's a ****ty quality version doing the rounds, but by tomorrow you'll be able to get it from the official site in a good format.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgOi9sXSY6I&feature=related
Very end = TwoFace?
Saw the leaked trailer. Ledger is awesome. Bricks were shat.
Wow, Ledger nailed it. Could only be better if Mark Hamill himself had donned the purple suit.
This movie will be made of pure win. I can't wait to see it.
Still the best actor to play the Joker... So far.
What X said.
Hamil is now the 2nd best to do Jokers VOICE. Hamil cant act for ****. His talents start and end with voices.
Ledger is now officially superior to any other Joker. It's funny because when we walked out of I Am Legend everyone agreed the best part was the batman trailer.
What's great is that Nolan is proving how awesome he is at the Batman films. We didnt expect the first one to be as good as it was or for Hedger to be so good. Great choice of acting. This means that Two-Face is going to be absolutely amazing. I can't what to see what he'll look like.
It definitely helps he's choosing to go the more serious route. Whenever the batman comics/tv show decided to take the plot more seriously it ended up being a lot better. Finally a director realizes this.
Probably won't beat Batman and Robin, though.
Batman wasn't ever meant to be a light-hearted hero though. The entire theme, above any other superhero save maybe for Spawn or some other hellish ones, fits him best.
Anybody have a link to the trailer? I need to see this.
EDIT: Meant the prologue. Many thanks, Vamp.
the trailer: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/usermovies/146959.html
Not the greatest quality, but whatever, it was a quick search. Oh and:
Seven minute prologue: http://www.comnetslash.com/ scroll down to the poster.
As soon as I heard Ledger's delivery of the '... Like me!' line, I knew he had the part totally nailed. From the trailer, I get the feeling it's following the theme of The Killing Joke - i.e. Batman's just as ****ing nuts as the Joker is. Can't wait.
edit: did I see Bane in there for a second? WHAAAA
No you didnt see Bane. But Harvey Dent is in the trailer though
Is Dent going to become Two-Face by the end of the movie? That would be such a cock-tease.
Probably something like what they did with Joker. Just hint at it really hardcore, but not actually show anything.
Also, I love Joker's reaction when he fires the RPG. Nailed it.
This thread will now become a poll of whether or not to devote a church to Ledger.
Sounds like a bad accounting school... but I'd attend.
I guess. It can only get better after Nicholson.I'm sorry, I'm going to have to disagree, here. Jack Nicholson played a great Joker. He reminded me so much of his Best Actor award-winning role in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, and, if you have ever seen that movie (go rent it, if you haven't seen it)Randle probably reminds you an awful lot of a pre-complete-madness Joker (or, the Joker reminds you of a post-complete-madness Randle, depending on how you want to look at it). That's not a bad thing, to me.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that Ledger's performance isn't going to top it--from the looks of it, it will--but Nicholson didn't do nearly the abysmal performance everybody gives him credit for. Besides, Tim Burton as directer would also be to blame.
By the way, Michael Keaton will always be my favorite Batman. As Bruce Wayne, he played the strange billionaire better than any other Batman thus far. If not that, then for Saturday Night Live's Celebrity Jeopardy skit with Matthew Perry portraying Keaton: "I'm Batman"
It's two different jokers. Jack Nicholson was awesome doing the role in the kid friendly 90's batman universe.
60s Batman was more kid-friendly than 90s Batman. The animated series had some pretty ****ed up stuff in it, for a kids show. For most of the first season Batman was using hookers as his informants. Batman Beyond started right at the end of the 90s, and it was probably even more gritty.

This scene always stuck in my memory.
Batman Beyond was pretty intense.
Oh yeah, definitely. The Return of the Joker feature movie had some of the darkest **** out of the entire Batman universe.
Oh man, that was a ****ed up movie. Especially when he ****s up Robin and ****, *******, now I gotta see the movie again, way to go X, *******
Unedited version or the edited verson? I originally watched the edited version on Cartoon Network, and I was like 'wow, this is pretty hardcore'...
Then I found out about the original version and checked it out. Bricks were shat. I'm gonna order the DVD right now.
unedited version
http://youtube.com/watch?v=pD_9buXZ16c
Is this the cartoon thing where Joker implanted his DNA in a microchip in Robin? Cause that was really awesome, especially when the Joker died and young Robin, who was dressed like the Joker, just stood there laughing.
Correctamundus. Tim Drake shooting the Joker was a pretty grim scene.
Love it
jack wins all else fails.
Jack was awful. The Burton films were awful. Shut up.
I liked it
Jack was awful. The Burton films were awful. Shut up.[/QUOT]
no more pu-pon for you.
Dude, post better or start packing up.
Jack was awful. The Burton films were awful. Shut up.Your opinion sucks. They were good movies, and Jack was great, but they didn't properly portray that Batman world. Your just a mad little fanboy that a movie that didn't follow the comics to every little point still did well.
Kind of prefer this Joker over ol' Jack's.. ANYDAY.
Lame ending is lame.
But it was a badass film for it being an independent piece.
Yes, I know..
That's nothing. Batman killed this:

I remember Hal Jordan fought a battalion of Predators in a Dark Horse/DC crossover. Epic ****.
What the hell did the alien impregnate? A T-Rex?
Heh, if I recall correctly... a crocodile.
Wai...Batman fights Aliens?
That's almost too rad a matchup to even fathom.
Eh, Batman Vs. Predator (been done like 10 times over).
Batman Vs. Aliens
Superman Vs. Aliens
Superman Vs. Batman Vs. Aliens Vs. Predator
Judge Dredd Vs. Aliens
Roger Smith Vs. PhotoShop
PS has been kicking my *** since issue #14 _-_
Also don't forget this.

Oh noes.. I overlook somezing..Wha!?
Well no ****in' duh Vampy.. The Kuberts co-worked it. Now, imagine if you will; a crossover featuring art from either Alex Ross or the Brothers Hildebrandt. That would be gloriously ****ing sweet. And, as that cover depicts, the latter bares so much similarity to it.
Although Dread vs Pred was pretty awwight too. Superman, not so much.
Dredd*.. Yeah, I suppose. Yet I found Lobo Vs. Dredd a little more enjoyable. Now Dredd Vs. Bats, that was a nice trilogy piece.
Didn't they feature a Joker dance-a-long to a Prince track in the first Batman? Case moves in favor of BB.

Trailer in HD, no less..
trailer in HD
Youtubelol
Trying to work this out - is Jim Gordon already the Commissioner in Dark Knight? I'm pretty sure he was only an Lt. in Begins.
He wasnt commish in the first and its still pretty unclear if hes comish in this one
I believe he's still listed as Lieutenant James Gordon. Though that's not to say he won't become commish sometime during the movie.
The term for any appointed person to advance on the force (in Gordon's case) is Commissioner-elect/select. I'm fairly sure that in Begins, he was a then, newly promoted lieutenant. It's plausible that in the time between both films that Gordon had either; still retained former status. Or during TDK; gains said promotion to Commissioner during the Joker outbreak.
My bet? Joker kills the old Commissioner.
My bet? Joker turns people against Batman. We hear Alfred talking about being an outcast and see the bat signal getting destroyed. Seeing as Joker robs money from the mob this could be the angle the public come to love him.
My bet? Joker kills the old Commissioner.
No doubt, no less. I mean, we see him talking to the "commissioner". But do we know who, he's speaking to. From reading the credits, the other man is the Mayor, and yes, Gordon is still a lieutenant.
Anywho, here's some random eyecandy..

Oh- they're not dicks, Vampy. They justly kill anything they deem worthy of their skill and craft.
total dicks from their victims' perspective. total, utter, badass dicks.
Nah, man.. humans are just easy scores. All pussies.. Humans fail against any alien offensive. **** ID4.
Speaking of which, tell me honestly?.. did you hop the bandwagon, thinking that that flick was going to be P3?
uh, I don't think anyone thought it was going to be predator 3...
Hahaha.. you'd be surprised. I witnessed huge widespread panic and mucho rumors about it back in the day. Epic hilarity.
I remember there being a chance of a Predator 3 shortly after AvP was considered a success, same with Alien 5. The latter was shot down pretty quick and the former stuck around for a bit. But, those movies and AvP2 were never the same...
Boohoo..:(
Not that I'm complaining... Alien 3 and R were terrible, and P3 was sounding like utter ****.
I understand; Resurrection should have been dismissed as ulticrap.. for ****s sake, Joss Whedon wrote most of the screenplay for it. Vampires, then Aliens.. what else could he **** up.. oh yea- The X-men.. 3, however, should have been a badass blockbuster considering that David Fincher directed it. I mean, Fight Club was fairly worth my attention.

So, I was checking out Sweeney Todd tonight. Saw this exact poster in the cinema lobby. Anywho, the red lettering located at the bottom reads: "A Taste For The Trivial".. Anyone visited the viral sites, yet. Eh, get them at wikipedia. Somewhat amusing.
New insight into the future of the Dark Knight, well, Batman. Found this interesting little piece on Google.
Oh jeez. The Penguin is up there with Walrus-Man for ****tiest villain in comics.
**** you X, I've already torrented it. 'Bouts to watch it in 30 seconds and countinginginginginginginginginging.......
Torrented what?

Yep-yep... :-D
No ****ing way... It's ready? I'll wait for it to come to theatres, though. Seems like a film that would benefit from the big screen.
Torrenting movies is epic fail in my opinion. Wait until it comes out. :(
I am. I actually do have it on my hard drive. But, not really tempted to see it, just yet.
So it's ready now but they're waiting until Summer? WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
January isn't known for its blockbuster action movies.
Not like it really matters. It's going to draw a large crowd anyways. Or why not bring it out in May when lots of blockbusters come out?
May is the month of mass suicides... surely we'll all be entirely too sad and cutting ourselves to bother with ol' Bats.
I didn't have the doubts about Ledger being Joker as much as other people did. Seems like he's doing a good job. :)
May is my ex's birthday. =[
Give me her number. I'll hook up with her for a big bonanza birthday bash
May is my birthday, too!

I'm lazy when it comes to downloading movies. I watch them on my computer, so it gets annoying to pull up a comfortable chair. But yeah If I did torrent The Dark Knight, I'd still go see it when it hit theaters.
I heard it was supposed to be released this past December, but after seeing the teaser trailer a while back I was disappointed that it was coming out this summer instead.
5 months is a pretty good campaign.
Yeah, the hype for DK is pretty much at its peak right now. Unless the next trailer(s) have some serious reasons for brick ****ting, I think a lot of people will lose interest by the time it's out.
The movies were awful.
Alot of the script was dog pap and didnt make sense because they were rushed.
Surely a Batman fanboy would be a twat like you who cant take their lips off Jacks cock? BWAAAH I GREW UP WITH BURTONS FILMS JACK IS THE BEST BWAAAHHH LEDGER IS NAF BECAUSE HE DOESNT HOLD A CANDLE TO MY PRECIOUS JACK WA WA.
Nolans films are a different interptration of the comics, Burtons ones were a bad adaptation. Lol Joker is killed by Batman? Woo love you Burton!
Jack was only chosen because they needed a big name to stop fanboys crying when they heard Batman was going to be played by a comedy actor and directed by an unknown. Jack, especially back then, was a huge star. Even then he just played himself. At best his Joker was just crazy. Ledgers one clearly is insane. Jack played a childish criminal. Ledger is playing a psychotic criminal geinus.Holy crap, Bebop, way to exaggerate on how I feel about Burton's films. Nolan's films are a more correct adaptation of the books, but Burton's films were friendly to the environment. There's no way the Batman movies could have even been released if they stayed true to the comics. Joker being killed by Batman is nearly the only way to continue the story, otherwise, you'd have the Batman cartoon in movies. ("What's that comissioner? Joker's escaped from Arkham again?") Besides, Tim Burton was the director (and nto some "unknown," by the way, thanks to Beetle Juice and Pee-Wee's Big Adventure being huge hits), so if you're vagina hurts because of Joker's death, then blame Sam Hamm and Warren Skaaren, the movie's screenplay writers. Do you even realize that the creator of Batman, Bob Kane, actually personally recommended Nicholson for the role. Hell, even the AFF sees Jack's role as The Joker as one of the best potrayals as a movie villain. And Michael Keaton is a comedy actor, sure, but if you've ever even seen Clean and Sober, you'd know exactly why he recieved a NSFC award for Best Actor for the movie. It's not as if his only place on the big screen involves taking a pie on the face.
Your mums a twat.. The file size is approximately 672MB; in both DivX and AVI formats (I just loathe AVIs). Compressed down to a sultry 623MB Rar folder.. asshole.

I'm not making this up. I downloaded it, via torrent catch; via Limewire hosting. And I did this all last Tuesday. It took around 4 hours to complete.
Neither am I. I downloaded it yesterday via Limewire. It took me 30 minutes to do but I had to be standing on my head.
For someone who claimes they actually have the film but refuse to watch it how sure are you that you even downloaded it? You're trusting the file name? Nice one. Prove to me you downloaded it. Show us some screen caps.
But you're not going to. Because you're lying.
Yeah, I'm lying. Just like I did when I signed your birth certificate..
Durden, send me the file. I really don't care enough about the film, I'll gladly confirm your story, if it's true.:)

Hahahaaa
How about this. Play the video, make the window small enough to see the video, the file in the folder, and the approx. size. Screencap and photobucket.
If Durden actually had it thats what he would have done along time ago.
He's lying plain and simple. Unless he proves me wrong which needs to just be a simple screen cap of new footage.
Yeah, he's lying. Why not post the torrent file?
Because he's a liar.
I'd love to see Riddler in the 3rd film although it's a shame Nolan has no plans to direct it. What they've done with Joker has compltely surpassed everyones expecations I'm sure, and Two-Face is obviously going to be so good, so I'm confidany Batmans intellectual equal could get the justice he deserves. If Joker and Two-Face are having their past movie mistakes corrected why not the green meanie?
Riddler is being reserved for a Question vs Riddler crossover movie. Or he would be, if I was head of WB Movies.
From the way the current movies are going surreal bad guys wont make an appearance to stick with the realistic nature they are going for. No Poison Ivy, Clayface, or Chun Li.
Uhhh yeah Bebop, I think you've fudged your facts. Nolan's down on IMDB and Wikipedia as the director, co-writer and producer of 'Batman 3'.
Holy **** really? He wasnt exactly keen on doing Dark Knight after Begins and he was saying the same about 3 for a while. This is good news. He really seemed determined to leave the series, at the worst possible time.
Okay, good. I was going to say that it made no sense, since his vision seems to be a trilogy and it'd be weird to abandon it now.
Yeah, having Harvey Dent in Dark Knight is pretty blatant set-up for a threequel.
Petition for Riddler? Whats the chance of Robin making an appearance?
I can't see it happening. Unless Robin got some radically redesigned costume. There's only brown and black in Nolan's Batman. The Riddler, maybe, but I figure he's too ridiculous for the tone of the movies.
As for comics forum - I'm going to ask Jesse to change the name of my blog. That way, we'll be able to do some comic uploading and whatnot, similar to the music blog.
Riddler could work. If he was in it I doubt he'd have a bright green catsuit painted with question marks. A dark green stylish suit. He could be a hitman? Or Edward could have been fired unjustly (as he sees it) from Wayne Corp and uncovers Batman's identity.
Riddler could work fine. I mean, they got the scarecrow in there and Joker seems pretty grounded in reality, so why not Riddler? It'd just need to be a criminal mastermind who has a penchant for riddles and the like. Mess up his hair a bit, like bebop said, throw a dark green suit on and ruffle it up a bit, and bam, there you go.
And lets give Arnold a call to come reprise his role of Mr. Freeze.
That would be TOO COOL.
Penguin. Based on Burgess Merideth.
Batman's back better get broken by the third installment....
Got an email capable of accepting an approximate 750MB PM?

You say, "Haha," like it's something funny, but if you have an e-mail you can upload it to, then I have an e-mail that I can download it from. I'll have to call b.s. that you have the file until you can prove it.
Petition for Riddler? Whats the chance of Robin making an appearance?
F*ck the Riddler, stop trying to push traditional Bat'villains.. Hush makes way more sense in a Nolan setting, you dumbass c*nt-motherf*ck..
**** sharing a torrent, this is the interwebs. And I feel like being a stingy bastard, however stingy as I ****ing feel like being. Find your own ****ing files.
You're a bizzare creature.
Hush would be a bad choice. He's not as well known to non-Batman comic book readers as the Riddler for instance.
You don't have to share a torrent. You could post simple screen caps. That is if you open the file. You said you havent even checked it. I bet you think youve downloaded the film but actually havent. I bet you didn't even download anything.
You're right, I'm a horrible-horrible bad liar person. How dare me, I should go and punish myself in the corner with a good flogging.. Shame on me.
Murmur and Hush tag-team please.
More Scarecrow development please.
Or bring on Jervis Tetch/The Mad Hatter played by Clive Owen.
Actually, a good solid Jean-Paul Valley arc wouldn't hurt Nolan.. I mean; Azrael, flaming gauntlets, and ****ed off animilian cultists with the Sacred Order of Saint Dumas. Almost has that RE4 sense of epic, to it..

Religion isn't something that can be proved either way so thats a bad example.
He's a bad liar. Just leave it as that.
We I guess we know Joker wont be in the third one :c
He doesn't need to be. Joker's more of a chaotic force than a character in need of development over the course of multiple movies.
How do you know de doesnt need to be? Dark Knight isnt out.
Joker's never been one for development. We don't even have a definitive origins story for him, and Dark Knight isn't going to suggest one either. Therefore, he can easily be picked up and dropped when necessary.
You can easily develop Joker, especially if you actually care to alter the character enough to do so. Not like it matters now though.
For all we know it could have been written into the film that Joker needs to be in the one afterwards. This Joker is far different than previous ones in loads of ways. It's more than likely his appearance was hinted at in the third, just like it was in the first.
Also the third film is about his trial apparantly
Yeah, that's what I've heard too. And it could still be possible to some degree, not like he really... has to be there during the trial. Well, he does, but they could use a different actor/cover his face/etc etc.
Seeing as Two Face is going to be the bad guy after that I'm guessing it would have been Joker and Two Face VS Batman and Harvey Dent. The great thing about Two Face is that hes a comment on Batman/Bruce's split personality, and Joker is the opposite and same as Batman. Having Two-Face/Harvey caught between Joker and Batman in a fight of good vs evil is a great basis for writing especially if the Nolan brothers doing it.
Maybe Crispin Glover will take over Joker?
Easily pull another Brandon Lee doubles-trick, I mean; how many people do you openly know that believed the Crow was completed with Brandon Lee actually still alive? That's the beauty behind technology, same stunt was pulled with his father.. Just saddens me though, that before it's release; we have to lose such a wonderfully talented Joker..
Crispin Glover was the first ideal choice, as made so apparent by any Google image search.. I mean, yeah, he just looks like the bastard...I mean the Joker looks like Glover. Glover's a bastard; for being in Charlie's Angels.
Yes we all know that. Filming was finished ages ago. It's still in post production. Didn't you know that? That was a big clue as to how we knew you were lying :)
You're lying. You always lie.. About your age, about your gender, about your stupid little fascade of tastes for the media.. What about post production don't you understand? It's still possible to leak a film during that stage of developement, that's when they're more vulnerable. For all we know, my file hasn't even been edited all the way through or properly had it's scenes merged and slotted. But who cares, Bebop is never happy unless Bebop is right. So believe what you want, you little whiney English turd..
So now you're saying your file contains all the uneditted footage? Sure buddy. Also you clearly don't know what post production is. Films only get leaked or pirated when they are finished. Learn the difference between post-production and completion before coming up with ludacris lies.
So let's recap: even though you haven't looked at the file, and you've 'lost' it you're still sure it has a FINISHED copy of the UNFINISHED film which you and you ALONE acquired from a leak. You personally are the only person in the entire world to have taken advantage of this leak for this years most anticipated film and are the only person to have access to the fully editted film, even those working on the editting right now. Shut up. Not even OJ could get off that one.
Also, Nolan isnt actually down to direct the thrid one on IMDB.
I'm going to have to go with Bebop on this one, TD. Also, even if do have the movie, with it being in post-production, it would be so convoluted and mixed-up, I'm certain you wouldn't even know what was going on at the time. Not only that, with the CGI not even being complete, the voice-over not even being complete, or the soundtrack added, you'd have a rather boring and unsatisfactory movie. Lastly, with it still being in post-production, there's a good chance that the film is still on about four dozen different rolls of film, so there's not even a snowball's chance in hell you even have The Dark Knight in your little .zip file. You probably have Loose Change!
I bet he just has loads of copies of "lemonparty" neatly tucked away in a rar.
Also, if it was leaked even in post production dont you thing it'd be plastered all over the internet?
Guys, shut the **** up. Who cares if he's lying or not, this has already been discussed enough. End.
Was watching the news this morning, and the anchor said Heath appeared in Titanic and was set to play Batman in 'Batman's Knight'. oh jeez. National news, too.
Which news was this? Proof or it didn't happen.
So who's going to play the Joker now for the third film? Any one have a list of the other possible canditates?
National News is always the most factually incorrect it seems.
Which news was this? Proof or it didn't happen. You know the little news segments that play during GMTV? Those. This was at about... 7AM.

I refuse to read this whole thread, if someone honestly is saying they have a leaked version of Batman they should be banned. Thats such a fake c*ock tease and shouldn't be a topic messed around with. Now wheres my mod powers, I have no remorse, I will do work.
A reason to continue on with this mindless existence...almost
I can't wait for this movie, although I am dissapointed by his new vehicle. The Bat Pod looks pretty pathetic.

Anyway, yeah. Nice work with the realistic approach there.
I love how half his suit is just mangled and tattered, not a completly different colour like those black and white Two-Face costumes.
