EA Staffer Changing EA History

For some reason, I hate people like this.

EA Staffer Attempts to Alter Wiki History
Someone at EA doesn't want you to know about Trip Hawkins, the publishing giant's original founder. On multiple occasions, a user with an IP address of 159.153.4.50--within a range registered to Electronic Arts' Redwood City headquarters--has tried to remove several references to Hawkins' legacy from the Electronic Arts Wikipedia page.

...

In addition to removing several paragraphs from the "Criticism" section, the user deleted references to the notorious ea_spouse debacle and spun the class action lawsuit brought on by overworked, undercompensated employees to portray the company in a good light. The new text would describe EA as having "led the industry in reforming work/life balance issues that are endemic to the software industry." And a line tacked on at the end would add a consolatory but unattributed statement: "Since that time, many other game companies have been struck with similar lawsuits."

Nice try, Speedy.

I would've gotten away with it too if it weren't for those pesky Wikipedia scanners.

The night before my interview I read up on EA with that actual page. Needless to say there wasn't much on there that could've helped me get a job.

ZING

I wouldn't hold EA accountable for this one. My school could be implicated in all sorts of Wikipedia scandals like 'CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL IN PRO-NAZI WIKIPEDIA EDITING SPREE' if we held organizations accountable for the actions of individuals. It's probably some fresh college graduate who's been allocated too much time.

I've worked occasionally with EA Tiburon in playtesting. What were you going for, Speedfreak?

Just a regular QA job at the EU headquarters (which happens to be 15 minutes away), EA Chertsey. Got in and landed Burnout, though I was on Potter for about a month.

I'm the ESRB tester for Burnout right now. If it gets delayed because of some hidden porn it's all my fault :D
