This series is so many kinds of awesome that I can't even count them all. The original Gunbuster was pretty cool, but the sequel (made 20 years later) blows it away completely. GB2 has everything. Topless Topless (not a mistake) girls fighting in giant robots, wearing maid costumes, exploding with superheroic powers, fighting with giant robots, all to a magnificent soundtrack. The production values are through the roof, and the animation is finely crafted by those total psychopaths who brought us FLCL. There are only 2 episodes on each of the USA DVD's, but every second of them is worth the price (I paid $35 for each). I would recommend this to anyone who has ever had even a passing interest in anime.
