Hmm, well according to bluray rumor from filefront news, it seems nintendo is wanting to expand the graphics with either HD or bluray. I don't know but I think they may just choose to expand to one of these....

Oh boy, a function I would never use.
If either rumor is true it looks like we could be looking at 2 different wii packages to buy, like with the 360 & ps3.

What would be truly interesting is if they could find a way to make the upgrade work like the N64 Expansion Pak, except better: All games would still work on a Wii that hasn't had the upgrade installed, but newer games could take advantage of the upgrade to make them prettier. This would muck up development, though, I reckon, so it probably couldn't happen.
