I actually barely played multiplayer at all, since ranked matches were pretty much impossible to get into until the patch months later. And I only play ranked cause I'm HARDCORE YEAH! ... Nah, I just wanted the achievements.

Yes well, I got Fable, Jade Empire and CoD2. Probably getting Halo 2 next, depending on how much it is here. Couldn't find some of the games I wanted to get. Also, waiting to get Oblivion after I finish FFXII ('cause it was pretty cheap, so I couldn't pass it up).

That's because 07, 06, 05 and 04 were pretty terrible and just simple rehashes. 08 actually improved the game a hell of a lot. Plus, it looks pretty nice.
It plays really nice, too. I really got annoyed with the passing mechanism in 07 and the players are scaled out much better in 08, also.

It's not that hard to get good. Most Halo players are like 'HEY GUYS RELOADING OUT IN THE OPEN IS A GREAT IDEA :D'
What's the big deal with that? You can reload in a split-second. Most halo players know button glitches.

I actually think you'd enjoy CoD3. I can see why people dislike it and I can see how people do like it. It has many flaws, but it also has some perks. I honestly enjoy CoD2 more and usually when I play 3, it simply makes me want to play 2.
But you in your situation, I think you should just get Rainbow Six Vegas. That will be more than enough to hold you over until CoD4 comes out. Save teh moneys. Be prepared.

I never cared for Gears online. Single player was fun, but I couldn't get into the online much. Graphically beautiful. Probably the best looking 360 game still. Bioshock might be more visual pleasing, maybe.

Neither do, really. The main quest is a bit of a let down, but it doesn't matter since every other part of the game makes up for it, including the side quests. And Shivering Isles is badass.
