Yeah. Oblivion sounds cool. I tried out Morrowind at a friend's house a long time ago but didn't like it. They aren't really the same though, are they? I basically know nothing about them.
I played Morrowind for an hour, was intimidated by the scale, and didn't pick it up again. For some reason, that never happened with Oblivion.
It's ****ing awesome. I only have a couple more quests to do for the Fighter's Guild, then I've done all the main plotlines. I'm kinda sad. :(

Well, it's taken me 3 weeks of playing 2 - 4 hours a day to do all the main questlines, and I haven't even bothered with anything outside of that yet. My save file says 35 hours, but I've probably accumulated more than that in general ****ing around and retries. Definitely worth the money, especially now that it's sliding in price.
I'd have to get if for PC though because I don't have a 360. Only I'm not sure if my video card will handle it: ati radeon igp-340m
PC would be good for mods. That boulder spell looks ****ing win.

Oh yeah, which is actually a fairly big factor. Though it includes all the other expansions, SI is bigger and far better than all of them combined.

You don't know what achievements are? Well, whenever you "achieve" something in a game you're basically awarded with an "achievement" that has a point value attached to it. They're basically trophies and nothing more and they don't serve a specific purpose, but I think most 360 owners will agree that they're quite addicting and definitely add quite a bit to a game. Plus, they make you do things you might normally never bothered with. In short: highly pointless but ****ing awesome.
Achievements are definitely a plus. They tend to encourage you to get the most out of your game. I doubt I'd be replaying Gears if it wasn't for the extra achievements, but it's actually pretty fun.

Yeah, there's something about the arcade experience that makes it all that much better. I'm thinking it's the fact that I actually have money on the line and get pretty RILLED up when I lose or just generally **** and accidentally mess up my tower right at the top.
What's sad is that they couldn't think of anything better to extend the length of the game. That's not what I expected from a Zelda game and that's not how I wanted to spend my time.
Doesn't the game still contain data for upwards of six possible dungeons? Should have focused their time on that.
They couldn't. The Triforce pieces probably involved very little time to actually design and implement, whereas building more dungeons would've taken too much time. Pretty sure they were being forced to get the game out.
Yeah, that's my main pet peeve with the game. Far too short, far too easy. But the time I did spend with it was MAGICAL. not quite as magical as with OOT, or even TP. still, it was cute.

I died quite a lot at one checkpoint, but it's been mostly clear sailing.
It was for me too until I got to the American missions. Then there were plenty of checkpoints that got plenty of deaths out of me until I could finally reach them. You'll see. Get that 1000. It feels good.

I really like playing on Vet, though. It makes for a more war-like experience. In regular I was just running up to MG nests and butting the gunners in the face. Now I have to use smokes to cover my advances and take a lot more cover.

Nah, they still have Veteran. Plus, technically online has achievements... in a sense. It's set up like Rainbow Six kinda, with unlockable weapons, perks, classes, and so on. That, plus unlockables in a game like air-strikes, helicopters and so on.
