I felt E3 came and went faster that you could blink. It could've been because all three major conferences were within 14 hours or so from each other, or maybe because I just wasn't checking much of the event after the first couple of days (Iron Man game footage, WTF?!)
So, I'll probably be posting any "awards" I come across from this year's E3. You're more than welcome to make up your own, like "Best way to get fatasses to play your system: Nintendo with Wii Fit," or something. Or, if you come across some gamesite's E3 awards that haven't been posted, go ahead and put it here. That way we'll get a feeling for, at least, what the media reaction was to the event's content and the games to come.
I'll start. I don't have a clue what Geek Magazine is, but hey, two Midway games (one being done in our studio) got pretty good feedback here, so it caught my eye:

Runner-Up: All Pro Football 2K8.
Best Trailer: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
Runner-Up: Resident Evil 5.
Runner-Up #2: Metal Gear Solid 4.
halo3.jpgBiggest Relief: Halo 3 single-player looks much better than multiplayer

Biggest “Duh, really?” Moment: Nintendo announcing Mario Kart for the Wii
Runner-Up: Konami announcing Silent Hill 5

Runner-Up: Stan Lee, at Activision’s press conference, touting Spider-man: Friend Or Foe.
Worst Celebrity Sighting: Chewbacca

Funniest Moment: Sony Computer Entertainment America President/CEO Jack Tretton, during Sony’s press conference, referring to his company as “Suny.”
Runner-Up: Wii Fit telling Nintendo Of America President CEO Reggie Fils-Aime that he’s overweight.
Biggest surprise:
... Yeah.
Wai, it's already over?
So much for that mass update for SSBB everyone expected.
So uh, Biggest Letdown: SSBB, or lack thereof :cookie:
Those awards actually aren't terrible. Not the usual ones where you sit back and say "WTF, HOW COULD THEY GIVE [insert game] THE [insert award] INSTEAD OF [insert other game]."
Game of the Show: CoD4. Seriously, that game is beautiful.

I recommend browsing the page, as there are other awards I didn't put there, such as G4 being G4 during Microsoft's Press Conference.
Personally I found this years e3 pretty dull.

Nothing at all that made me go 'OH SHI-'. Last year set the bar exceedingly high.

What's with leaving out the Best Racing Game awards from IGN and Gamespot?
No gives a **** about racing. Plus, Paradise likely won.

WHAT THE ****
The best news of E3 was the official announcement of Silent Hill 5. Otherwise, blah to the rest of the show.
Heck yeah. I was more excited for that trailer than RE5.
Silent Hill 5 is exciting until you find out who's making it.
Uh... wait, why isn't Team Silent making it?
Because apparantly Konami is the dumbest developer in the universe.
Solid Eye anyone?
I was surprised that Killzone 2 actually looks like fun! Also, I liked the new Mass Effect trailer, looks kicka$$! Infamous looks pretty cool, too. I had a couple "OH $hit" moments during the E3. RE5 footage, Infamous, the MGS 4 trailer, the Killzone 2 footage. E3 was pretty satisfying to me this year.
