Evangelion is okay but if the show is redone or scenes are added to give the characters more depth it could be pretty cool.
Oh yeah, I heard about this. Not sure how different it will be from the original, but I'll watch it for the new scenes. Plus, the new conclusion interests me. Should be pretty cool.
Hopefully it'll be better than the series' ending but can it beat EoE?
The animation looks very impressive. I'll definitely watch it if I can.
psst
This is the trailer for the first new movie, Preface. It hits Japanese cinemas on the first of September.
The next three films, titled Breaking Up, Rush and [not known yet], come out in 2008. The final two will be shown alongside one another.
I'm giddy.
I'm glad the animation isn't too new, but it looks way better.
I personally find the scene where Tokyo 3 is rising up to be the most amazing thing I've seen in a long period of time. Maybe its just the nostalgia. :(
I came thrice. I don't know why but I feel like the Utada Hikaru goes well with the trailer despite how much in logic they really wouldn't go together. I can't wait to see it.

Sexy.
This should be good, as long as they don't screw it up or make it as a quick cash in.

It's probably worth mentioning that this hits Japanese cinemas in four days.
I look forward to it hitting the internet soon after with subs!
I can't wait for an official US release. Seeing Evangelion on the big screen, especially something like EoE, would make this Evangelion fans' day!
You'll be able to go ice-climbing in the Ninth Circle before Eva hits western cinemas.
I wouldn't be so sure. There isn't any sort of agreement yet, but animu is big now so I'd actually be surprised if they didn't bring it over here. It very well might be awhile though.

Mainstream American anime fans don't care about Evangelion. It did poorly when it was on Adult Swim, it'd do poorly in theaters. And all those people who watch Adult Swim would rather have an InuYasha movie in theaters before they had an Evangelion movie.
Besides, Evangelion isn't really "fresh" anymore, no matter how many times they redo it.
Angelic Days was pretty fresh because it was so loosely tied in. And the art style was goofy.
But nobody cares about Evangelion if it has nothing to do with the big guy upstairs. That's the point!
Don't be so naive. Think of the porn!
touchin boobies and getting off? yes plz
but yeah, it's not naruto so it's not going to be in any cinema.
I heard it sucked. But I only heard, so I doubt it's true.
I can only hope and pray it gets screened and subbed soon =/
Predicting torrents in twelve hours.
Nevermind, I just read the spoilers, it's ****ing awesome.
Can we still do spoiler tags? ALDSkljsdklgfjlksdfdfld, anyway, it's nuts, the spoilers are on the wiki. It's made of brick ****ting, and all of a sudden EVA seems SO much more similar to Higurashi (that should give it away).
Look for the parts talking about the colour of the ocean, and what's on the moon.
Oh **** =o This sounds immense. Maybe we'll actually get to see Adam.
Someone better update us once subs hit.
Sure sec
EDIT: THERE IS A CAM VERSION. Don't know if it's subbed; 1000 seeds though.
cam? idk, only if it's good quality. Even then I think I can wait. Shouldn't be too long.
Found a picture which compares some changes within the movie. Good news, Ramiel is now fully 3D. Top is movie, bottom is show.
