Hello all. I found this board looking for video game sites (obviously). My name is Kevin. You can call me Kevin or Mushroom King, or whatever you want. Anyway, a little bit about me. I live in California with my grand mother. My mother died when I was 10. Boat accident. My father left before I was born. I used to live in Nevada, but I moved up here to CA when I mother died. I like video games (mostly race games and RPG) and I love music. Anything else you want to know, just ask.

Just a habit I guess. Everyone that knows about my mother didn't find out for a while after meeting me. When they find out they ask "why didn't you tell me this before?" and I tell them the truth, that it's just kinda painful for me to bring up. This goes for real life friends and people I meet online (forums, messengers, etc.) so I just though I'd bring it up here right off the bat so I don't have to hear "why didn't you tell me this before?" later on. I dunno, maybe it was stupid to say something about it. I guess I am off to a bad start here..
Welcome to VGC. Did you ever get to meet your father after you were born? Because if I were you and I met him I'd probably beat the hell out of him. I hate cowards that do that. At least you never new him... and sorry about your mother.

Thanks MMX. No, I've never met my father. I have no interest in meeting him either. He is a pile of **** for doing what he did to my mother. She struggled every day to take care of me until her death. But, on a good note, I was checking out the music board. A lot of people here have awesome taste in music.
I'm very picky about my music, I prety much don't like anything but classic rock, and when I say that I meen 70s and 80s rock. I like very little of the new stuff, but I don't hate on it. I just don't really care for it. What is your taste in music?
Oh, and don't fall for the user name hack thing, its mostly used on the wacko central board and it looks like it says your name anyone you are. Really they aren't talking about you but they just use the hack thing.
I only listen to rock. I hate country, rap, etc. And only certain kinds of rock. I hate that poser ****. Slipknot, Korn, System of a Down, Nickelback, all of those bands suck. I don't like that poser nu metal crap. I do like newer bands though. Dimmu Borgir, Dream Theater, Boris, Devin Townsend, just to name a few. I pretty much like all '70s and '80s rock though. Zeppelin, Guns N' Roses, Queen, etc.
Okay, I'll keep the hack thing in mind, thanks for the heads up.

Okay, shitbomb time. Every single time I've encountered someone intent on revealing some kind of personal tragedy or other hangup seems to have deep-seated Borderline tendencies. I can't say much from a few lines of text on an internet message board, but even so, not cool. You're drawing attention to yourself, and it's not necessary. I'm sorry for what happened in your past, but honestly, it's not something people need to be told. If you want to get by in life, you need to keep those sorts of things inside and not appear to be anxious to get society's sympathy.
I'm not calling you out on being an attention whore or a liar... It's just not fair on other people to do this. There's no reason to confide in anyone other than those close to you about this kind of trauma.
You do listen to some awesome music, though. :)
