you prolly know that 360 doesn't let you open the menu that you need up up to select your music and **** during a game when the game you're playing is for the orig xbox... well.
i got my broken (fixed now) 360 back today and had my harddrive music on while i reconfigured all my **** again and then promptly popped in halo 2 without turning off my music. the result? harddrive music playing over halo 2. great success!
so yeah, start playing music manually with no game in the tray and then put it in without turning it off and it should work.

I can't play video games with music playing, especially online games. I rely too much on the sound.
For the most part, the music I listen to wouldn't sound right in-game. Or it would be from a different game. Nothing would mess up my skillz more than hearing the MGS2 theme while playing Uno.
Yeah, you don't need the sound in Halo. Just shoot everything that you see.
