I was wonder if I am the only person around here that actually uses it?
I think its a pretty nice program compared to things like GameMaker [which I am not a big fan of] though I customize everything.
Well, I'm pretty sure you know I use it. ;)
Haven't had any time lately to do anything worthwhile with it, though.
Eh, I tried fiddling with it a year or two ago. Didn't have a ****ing clue what I was doing though.
It's simple, really.
Depends how far you want to go with it. Its a lot of work to make something of quality, though.

It's pretty simple, I don't understand how you keep failing at using programs built to be user-friendly.
I used to play with it a few years back, but decided my storyline sucked too much, I couldn't get the specific amazing battle system I wanted without heavily editing the code, and I was far too lazy to continue.
I've been using RPG Maker XP for months now. Trying to get a game built right now.
Eh, I perfer rm2k3 programs over XP unless someone uses custom graphics. XP's RTP [default graphics] has poor resolution.
Doesn't really bother me, though I do find user made sprites.
Ah, mind posting a screenshot?
Of anything in general? I can post screenshots from my game if you want.
Yeah, that was what I was referring too.
Again, it depends on how far you want to go with it.

This is an RPGmaker game, albeit German.
Very neat. But I still say time wins over difficulty.

Me and Nazo have put a lot of work into this game so far, he makes most of the maps and I make the events. We're almost done with the first part of the story, but I still have to fix the character's and monster's stats.
If I gave you some critique, would you take it?
I don't really care. Say what you have to.
Well, the maps are a little too spaced out and empty. You should considering trying to garnish it with more life [i.e. animals and NPCs], but it is your first game, after all.
Indeed it is, but we'll try that.
Mind to share more information about your game?
Story by Nazo as well.
The story starts in a small forest town called Ponta. In Ponta there is a boy
named Ray, who's dream is to become a hero, to help others in need, and protect
all that he loves. When Ray was a child he lost his parents in a massacre of his
old home. The only survivors were himself and a few of the townsfolk. The townsfolk
and Ray later rebuilt the town.
In a far away land there's a dark alliance that terrorizes the continent taking
over all they desire. I the "Shadow Legion is a pack of 3 elite soldiers known as
the 3 Shadows. These soldiers are the most powerful in the entire legion and go
where ever they are orderd and complete all of their task with ease. One of the
three shadows is the leader of the whole Shadow Legion, and also the one responsible
for the destruction of Rays town and the death of his family and many of his friends.
When Ponta was rebuilt Ray secretly swore vengeance on the Shadow Legion, to defeat and
erase their terror from the world bringing peace to all. He has trained himself in the
way of the sword. He is strong, kind, and very brave.
Rays has a guardian he calls, Grandmaw. Even though they aren't truly related, she
was the one that cared for him after the death of his parents. One day Ray awoke to his
Grandmother asking him to go get some supplies from a nearby city called Cheer. And this
is where Ray's adventure begins...

I don't feel like reposting **** - so here is my DevLog.
I like your map layouts Xenos, they look very profesional. All my stuff is farely generic. Other than understanding switches and basic variable operations, I can't do much with Rpg maker. One time I did make it possable to have a side layout battle using Rpg maker 2000 thanks to the basic math and 'get variable' stuff that was available, but I only was able to have two people in a party battle. That's my only real acheivment with that(half assed at best)

Nifty. Where'd you get that chipset from?
