Probably a thread for this a ways back, but I'm too lazy to trawl.
I've started playing Vegas, finally. Just playing through single player at the moment to learn the ropes - taking all my weapons, team-mates and tech about a half hour into the game seriously threw me for a loop. Awesome. Just finished the first Las Vegas mission, after shooting Arc's family for the first few missions.
Anyone still play online? I'm probably going to play multiplayer a lot, since the single player has me pretty hooked.
Yup, I still play online, though not as often at the moment since most of the people I play with are hardcore into Forza. But if you ever see me online, throw me an invite.
I've been doing more terrorist hunts lately, but I get online from time to time too, so if you see me, let's rock!

I just finished the first casino arc. This game is pretty good fun, and the multiple entrances to areas are awesome, but it's annoying that even the most minor of ****ups can result in you heading back to a checkpoint you passed ten minutes ago.
Whatever, guess I can just use my teammates as cannon fodder.

I'm getting to the point now where I'm looking for another game to really play - I've been going back through few games and kind of picking at them, a level here, a boss there, namely Red Steel and Condemned, but there's nothing that's actually grabbing my attention right now.
Might be worth doing a search for a cheap copy.

double post get, but I've started playing online. LOTS OF FUN GET. I didn't expect to get a lot of kills, but there were a few moments were I was like 'YEAH I RUN ****'
Killing someone while hanging from the inverted rappel is a true moment of glory.
The trick, get a Raging Bull or Deagle, hang on the rope while having the rest of your team camp Keno spawn in Attack and Defend on Calypso Casino. See how quickly you can make the defenders quit.
That was pretty much what I was doing, except the other two guys were running around aimlessly.

If you're attacking and good at the game, you don't grab the package. Just bring it up to the main floor and keep it there. Or grab it, and run laps back down to the vault and up again. Chances are they were doing something similar because if it goes on the helipad people quit real fast.

My friend got Xbox Live the other day. We were playing online for a while. He got pretty good over the past 2 days. I am almost no better. I have my moments though. I only play Sharpshooter matches. I don't really like anything else. I hate the Kill House. I always do worse there than anywhere else. Border Town is my favorite and The Streets are fun. Hiding upstairs, planting C4 near the stairs and blowing people up as they walk up there. Anyway, I'll be playing again in a few minutes. If you see me, try not to kill me too much, okay? ALSO, the Famas is pretty average. I take a couple of shots and it's like WHERE ARE YOUR BULLETS NOW?!
It's crazy accurate though. Plus, when a person knows how to use it they're quite deadly.
But yeah, things that didn't **** me off about the game **** me off now. It's mainly loading the map, then loading the lobby, then loading the game, then loading the main screen, et cetera. There's just way too much waiting and loading in Rainbow Six. And yet, it's still a fantastic game. Needs more ranks though. Maybe then I'd play it more. I've had my elite maxed out for months.
In the defence of loading, it takes a relatively short time to load each round after connecting. Still ****ty compared to other games though.
****, I hate all of the loading. Especially if I'm joining a game with 30 seconds left on it, and right before I get in the host angry launches it.

Man I suck at this. I keep on getting two or three kills a match and everyone else gets a ton. I need to buy a headset. Then again all I ever play is Attack and Defence. Is there a more faster pased game mode?
And yea, I hate waiting for the games to start, and its worse for me cuz I get kicked alot cuz people don't like to play with someone with know headset. I'll sit in a room for ten minutes and then get kicked. It sucks :(
You don't want faster pace if you suck that bad. Basically, the key is to just keep playing the game and always try out new guns. Even I still switch between guns to find what suits me on that particular day, whether it be spas, MP7, MTAR, etc. When it comes to A&D, I suggest always going on defence, using the MTAR with 6x scope, and just finding a good spot to camp. Like, the wall in front of Keno on Calypso that looks towards back door with the elevators to your left. From there you can keep killing kids no matter which way they try to attack. You just gotta watch your back. After you get good at shooting kids in the head in bursts, start running between main room and left slots and you should get kills galore.
oh yeah, and no mic with low rank? instaboot. Add VampiroVEmpire to your friends list and we can play a few games.

He usually gets on, like today, while I’m alternating turns by death with a friend, and by the end of the match, my friend understands the fear and how it consumes those who oppose Vamp. He came, he conquered, and then he left, with me feeling greatly inferior. Someday. Must train harder.

Erm, I practiced and got quite a bit better, got some achievments like killing spree and such, and ranked up to speacalist. If anyone wants to play I'll be on a while late tonight (US central time).
Try and get on later in the evening if you can, like 8 or 9 your time. That's when I'm usually playing with a bunch of people.
Oh, and the new map pack is free. Ubi ****ed up earlier this weekend and as an apology they're making the maps free of charge. Red map pack is also free this July 6th. Awesome.

I bought the other Rainbow Six pack. That was the first thing I ever bought on Xbox live and it'll probably be the last map pack I ever get. This current trend of three-five maps for ten bucks isn't that cool.

Downloaded the black edition last night. Then I played a couple games, one of 'em was a small team sharpshooter and my team left so it was 2vme. I was owning them and stayed ahead by at least 5 kills the whole 15 minute game. Then in the last 30 seconds they kicked me because they sore losers.

X360: Downloadable content might not be as extensive as the PC mods, but you have achievements and a reasonably reliable setup for playing it.

Also, turns out the AUG is the best gun in the game.
No, it's actually the best. Long distance it's not great, but for close, medium, run-and-gun it's easily the best. Plus, I was going 30 and 4 the entire time. It rocks.

personally i like the mp9, i know its a little bity gun but its real accurate, its damage isnt that great but the damage doesnt matter when u shoot em in the face xD

i used the AUG for a while i liked it better than the MTAR but for some reason i just like the accuracy and the speed of the mp9, i'll probably change it later, but for now i think im gonna stick with it for a while

The MTAR technically is better simply because it's a hell of a lot more accurate and the bullets spread less. So as long as you're going for headshots it's going to be better. But it's not as good for run-and-gunning and close-quarters which I prefer.
But yeah, I'll play a couple games with you guys.

Also, I've realise the ACOG scope isn't as accurate or something. Like, it's going from the 6x to 12x scope. The latter seems to hit more with a sniper rifle.
