Yup. Yesterday I went to get one.
I have been planning to get one for 2 years but I never got myself to do it and at last, I went to get an appointment for sunday last week and now it's done.
It was long and painful. I didn't complain or anything, but gosh...it burned at least 4 hours after it was done. Freaking needles. He started by going around the motif with one needle. Already that was bad, but then, when he started filling the inside of the drawing, he took 4 needles. >_<
Costed me 375$ in total (including the tip)
It's expensive, but it's worth it :) I love it.
Edit: I'll post a picture of it at my dad's on saturday.
I'm getting mine in October, probably.
I too have been planning this for over 5 years, I just never got one.
Oh well.
An arm-band? oh dear...
I've been debating over what I want to get since I turned 18. I know I want one, I am just not sure of what. Once I figure it out I'll get it done. Anyway, that's pretty awesome, Xero. Can't wait to see the picture.
^No, not a dragon. I do like them, but it's not original enough. I wanted a Heartagram but that's also pretty unoriginal.
congrats on the first tattoo i have about 5 myself including a really big one on my forearm, after you get a second one(if you do) it's not nearly as bad. Does it have any special meaning or is it their just to look cool?
Exactly why do you have a tatoo?
If dragons mean strength and longevity what does it mean what you have a naked girl
That you're really gay.
no mixman, I meant a naked girl on as the tatoo and exo I don't understand
Yes, that means you're hiding something.
That you're really gay.
I don't think anyone knew I was a tattoo artist myself besides Judge, PHM, and Down The Sun.
Here are some tattoos I have done:

Anywho, here is a pic of me. You can kinda see some of my tattoos on my arm.

^Nice work, Mixman. wtf is up with the hustlin' unicorn though LOL
Mixman: The 2nd tattoo you posted is my favorite out of the 4. I like the colors too :)
You must be nervous when you make your own tattoo. If you screw, then you spend a while fixing the problem.
I did not mean to be an elitist at all, or to put you down. I just find arm-bands are the tattoo of choice for jocks and preps who want to be extreme or whatever, or someone who really doesn't know what they want so they just go with whatever everyone else has. But, I haven't seen yours yet and for all I know yours is not like that at all.
mixman AWSOME work!
The outline has always been the easiest part to sit through for me with all of my tats. Needle tends to be smaller and the artist doesn't have to keep going over the same raw area over and over again. That's the part that killed me with my big leg peice.
Mixman, your shading is great. I've always been afraid of color and have just stuck with black/greyscale, but I love the shading you did on the water and the detail on the bat one is incredible. Good job.
I don't think anyone knew I was a tattoo artist myself besides Judge, PHM, and Down The Sun. Hey Mixy, I'll let you ink my ass?
The normal routine I go through whenever I consider an ink job.
A) I delve into research sessions for various designs and concepts towards the desired tattoo.
B) I draw up MY own ****, I hate flash styles, and I honestly see no point in new world tribal designs. If I ever chose to give any interest in anything tribal; it would be classic Maori, or Borneo..
C) I get professional opinions over my idea, I ask the inker personally if the design belongs on me. (I've actually passed up on a few inks due to opinion, saved alot of money too)
As of late, I haven't gotten around to any new tattoos. Waiting for another job to come through while I'm taking the summer off from classes.
Wow Mixman. That's all you got?
I could do those same tattoos, eat cheddar cheese (sliced), masturbate, and beat super mario bros 1 in a matter of... 12 seconds. At the same time. ALL those tattoos.
Don't believe me? Anything can happen when you're on drugs, YOU'RE ON!
Whatever that drug is, I'd use it to walk home within 2 minutes after school to avoid traffic.
vicodin
they didnt work :(, i mean the pictures at bottom of last page
I'm probably getting one when I get to Panama, but I'm stuck for choice between a few designs (all of which ought to make people here roll their eyes a bit):
Whichever I do wind up getting, it'll be pretty subtle - Probably no bigger than four inches across, and on my right shoulder. They're all abstract enough to not really be representative of much to someone who doesn't already know them.
i mean LOL BAND TATTOOS I WANT A HEARTAGRAM I LOVE HIM THEY ARE MY FAOVURITE BAND EVER THEY PLAY LOVE METALS.
Get out of here, seriously you DT fag..
okay bye
Or maybe something like this.
I've got a few ideas in mind for a few tattoos. I really dig those sort of intertwining vine things some people have on their hands/fingers(see: Jefferey from Project Runway haha). I might get one of those if I think of a cool way to personalize the style. And I still want a "VII" on the underside of one of my wrists, but I have a feeling I might not want it later. We'll see.
http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a188/ketoman77/symbolis4.jpg
My most ambitious idea is to get this tattooed on my side. I imagine it stretching to about halfway across the front of my torso, and halfway across the back. But I'd feel really gay getting it done without studying up on the symbol a lot more.
Or maybe I'd do it in complete ignorance, in a good ol' "**** you, religion!" nah.
The design you chose would be difficult but not impossible.
I could do it :P
Here it is:
Moi.
Close up.
Congrats Xero, you are now officially mediocre..
Looks nice. You're too nerdy for it though lol.
Looks good. As long as you carry yourself right, it should look appropriate.
shoulda gotten a triforce
lol
An angel would have been cute, or a ring of flowers. ;)
Why dont you get that put on your palm Slade? As for me i come back to the states this aug and i buy my step mom a new tat gun she is doing my first tat. it is going to be a small one but on the back of my neck.

My friend James and I are going on the same day to get the Heaven Seal. Same spot that Sasuke has it.
NARUTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO PANIC!

It'll go great with your awesome Naruto ninja headband. You even managed to turn that sideways and be ghetto stylin'...
Sweet lord. You have GOT to be kidding me.
I wish I was. :(
Anyway, if you get a tatoo related to an anime, 10 years from now you're gonna be like, "****, that was retarded of me. And why did I post that picture of myself with that headband on MySpace?"
SHARINGANU!
The headband isn't mine. It's my friends and I don't wear it anymore because he bent the plate to fit his head. I'm going to buy one though. Hot Topic stopped selling them or I would have had one like 6 months ago.
I guess I sort of called that one :/ It doesn't look terrible, just unoriginal.
If anyone gets a tattoo that's anime related..They're stupid. My friend wanted a..Erm..
That thing, he's 16 and he's getting a Tattoo this year. I hope it won't be that..
Anyways. I'm scared of needles so..I dunno. ;>>
Nice tattoo though.
At least music-related tattoos have longevity. Plus, you look infinitely cooler with a textless heavy metal insignia than you do with a JUTSU MEGA KAMEHAMEHA ATTACK needlepoop. Particularly when the anime you're desperate to show your fandom towards was created to entertain kids who probably can't even spell their own names yet. Good Allfather; my six-year-old cousin watches Naruto!
Thankfully nobody here is the guy on Kotaku a few months back with that "WELCOME TO SILENT HILL" thing on his chest (back? can't remember).
It's a neat concept... but man, is he going to regret that.
If I were to ever get a tattoo it would be a small one, possibly on my hand up high on my shoulder. If I ever got a big tattoo I would probably regret it some day as I age. A Small tattoo won't affect me all to much.
As for Xero's Tattoo, I'm not a fan of tribal tattoo's, but it looks good.
A poem sounds more reasonable to me. That is if I were to do something like what you want to do.
Where to start, so much shit I've missed out on..
You're too nerdy for it though lol.
You're too nerdy for your own *** **** skin. Shut up.
So I should've gotten something less "badass"? >:O
Anything less "badass" would've been an angel, a cupid or a dragon. **** that.
Trust me, it's slightly less than "badass"..
shoulda gotten a triforce
Let's do something better V', mushroom stamp Triforces on Panic's forehead.
An angel would have been cute, or a ring of flowers. ;)
Your mother having an abortion would have been cute..
Knowing you're always negative, I'll take that as a compliment. -_-
Your body, ruin it to your own tastes man.. I mean, how am I going to explain to my grandkids what "UnSmurfed" means whenever they look at my wrinkly abs? Inside joke.. I left the Navy recently.
You do it, you little queer.

Do that again PHM, with the panic pictures. And I will cock-slap you.

Anything anime related period is retarded.. Not even getting a hentai nude sprawled across your back is an okay idea for a manly tat.
The headband isn't mine. It's my friends and I don't wear it anymore because he bent the plate to fit his head. I'm going to buy one though. Hot Topic stopped selling them or I would have had one like 6 months ago.
Just shut up, you were caught wearing it. You allowed/took the pictures to post online. You deserve a flame or 5(thousand) for being a complete Naruto nut-sucking faggot.
You're pretty much everything that's wrong with this generation.
No V', Transformers Beast Wars IS everything wrong with this generation.
If anyone gets a tattoo that's anime related..They're stupid. My friend wanted a..Erm..
Stay smart, young one..

Not completely true.. how many Metallica fans could you imagine going in to laser off their fleshy shrines to the once great thrash of old?
Nope, I meant vines. You know, plants and such. They're not in any particular pattern, but just sort of sprawled all over, intertwining.
And I forgot to mention one last sort of tattoo I'd like to get. I haven't thought too much about it, but I think I'd like some sort of (epic?) story written out on my back. It would probably stretch to my shoulders and my sides. The only things I know for sure is that it'd be sort of "winding," asymmetrical, and almost look like it's wandering around my skin.
Instead of a story it might be an essay, or a poem.
Cool, gotch'a..
And, awesome. I've been thinking about a war story written along my ribs in Sanskrit, or Hebrew.. something along the lines of oppressed states and rising above. Too much research to go into it, however..
Jesus ****ing christ, why is Panic back? Panic's like this mile-high pile of **** on wheels that somehow follows you wherever you go. This is a ****ing nightmare.

In his ass!!
and for being a big boy you get a sticker would you like a furry one or a shiney one lol just jokeing
Go away.. please for the love of small woodland animals-just go the **** away.
Anyone care to stay on topic?
Ever have an inkjob you felt like either ****ing up on or have ****ed up on, Mixxy?
Hey, if you have a skinny arm and get a tattoo, but then buff up over a period of a few months or so, what happens to the tattoo? Does it end up looking weird? Lame? Skinny? Scrawny? Faded out? What? I'm curious. :(
Welcome back, Kocktease.. Panic's been awaiting your arrival..

And you can kindly **** your own *******.
Being poor's a *****. :( The toughest time you will EVER have, financially, is when you're changing jobs and moving at the same time.
^I'm sure it stretches out a little bit, depending on how much you pump up your arms. You most likely have to go back and get the parts that are faded or stretched fixed.
I don't trust anything you say because I'm afraid that body fat can corrode the brain.
Good job staying on topic. I dunno if that's what you have to do or not. I don't have a tattoo and I know very little about them. I was just making a guess.
It's not like this is the internet and you could have at least done a little research or anything.
They adjust? Okay, that both makes sense and is a very satisfying answer since I was thinking about getting a tattoo myself. Just can't decide... which... Hm. Nothing too big, probably just on my back/shoulder. But then again, if I had it placed there my question really doesn't apply but I was curious nonetheless.
Yeah, it's really only a problem with stomach tattoos and pregnancies... and I don't think you're planning to get pregnant any time soon.

Over time, either putting on a few pounds or bulking up with teh muscles and the retard strength. Yes, it can stretch out your inkjobs verily. Touch ups and redux are the likely way to keep maintenance on said body investment. And depending on where and whom handles them for you, be it the original inker, can be quite cost effective. Most tattooist I know of like to keep tabs on their work and I'm sure are willing to do touch ups for little-to no cash just to be sure of satisfactory work and better repeat business reasons.

Dude, shut up..
lmao, Panic's responses are ****ing hilarious compared to the actual reasoning heard from Vamp or Down.
Good job, Panic, in being a complete moron!
I said that I didn't know I was just making a guess. One of my dad's friends lost a lot of weight and had to get his tattoo fixed because it looked weird when he lost the weight. I thought that it might work the same way if you gain muscle or weight and become bigger.
Yeah, but Xero's arm isn't going to get huge and fat like a beer gut anytime soon. At least I don't think so. Oh, the logic. Misoxeny was right. If you're on the internet and you're not sure about something, it's easy to use the web as a research tool instead of making half-guessed statements and looking like you have no idea what you're talking about. Try it next time. Not that looking like an idiot ever stopped you before, but you might enjoy learning something every now and then.
I already know what Panic's going to say:
wellz yyyy didnt teh kohz do dat?!
Becauuuse the KoH is a lazy son of a *****. Plus, since there is actually a tattoo artist already on the forum, and a few other people who obviously have or know about tattoos a hell of a lot more than Panic, I thought it'd be the fastest way to get a straight answer. :)

HUGE TIP OF THE DAY!!!
DON'T ****ING GET TATTOOS WHEN YOU'RE A FATASS AND SAVE BIG BUCKS!!

Thank you Corporal Obvious, sidekicked defender to the obvious.. Now Panic knows our secret plans for Interwebs domination..
PHM, if you hadn't noticed Panic is naturally an obese sack of whiny flesh and man-***** filth. Beer wouldn't allow itself to be sold to such a lamer.
