TVGCS Readers, Inquire Within

After some thinking (like 2 minutes), Chris and I are considering two things. Either taking a new direction with That VGC Show, or starting a new comic entirely. As you've no doubt noticed, TVGCS has some noticeably gaps between updates. Not like it's hard to make a comic, but it does take some concentration.

Chris just brought back up one of his old comics, titled The Adventures of Chris, Cody, and Coro, in an AIM convo. I thought they were hilarious, but more importantly to me, they were simple. Episode 1 is a simple ploy on the fact that you have to smash your ****ing skull into a steel block to obtain a magical mushroom which makes you grow in stature. Simple, easy to come up with.

This brings us to where we are now. We're both considering either taking a new approach or starting a new comic, having things simpler and more gaming oriented. We realize that we're just making a forum based comic that maybe 15 or 20 people read tops, but still, we'd like some input. What do you want us to do?

"Option 5: You should quit spriting and making comics forever because you both suck beyond comprehension," was omitted, because we know that'd be the obvious choice.

Add more of the members of VGC into the comic, even if they're only in one or two episodes.

If we start a new one, it won't be TVGCS oriented. We'd prefer starting a new one than changing TVGCS, honestly. But changing it while keeping it somewhat forum oriented is what the first option is.

The reason we cameo so few people is because A) they get their cameo and never show up in the thread again and B) I don't know of anyone on VGC outside this blog that has their own sheet, and we're sure as hell not going to make one for everyone who wants a cameo. Supply a sheet (even if it's just a raw sheet from a game) in the TVGCS thread and you'll probably get a cameo soon enough.

I don't think we made the poll right. If we do a new comic, it's NOT going to be forum oriented. If we change TVGCS, we'll do heavy forum orientation, like we did... for example, in the Iris prune filler. The new one will be more the style TVGCS is right now; random adventures, but will take a more gaming/random centered approach, most likely featuring the cast, but making it accessible to people outside of VGC. Personalities will remain intact, but inside jokes will reduce.

New comic will be simple and easy to grasp, basically. Shorter than TVGCS is now. You come and you read it, go, "Huh, I get it. That was worth a slight chuckle," and move on. Not as much text as TVGCS has right now.

Revamped forum heavy TVGCS will be like the Iris prune episode. Most likely we'll have backgrounds made from the site, and stuff like that.

@ Zeta: If we do what we honestly want to, it'd be the new one weekly, and the revamped TVGCS bi-weekly, since it sometimes takes a couple of weeks for anything somewhat interesting to happen around here. :s
