Online Shopping

Posted by Dexter

Gamer-girl Fate posted a helpful link (YesStyle.com) to a Japanese-styled shop in another thread and I found some good clothes there. I already purchased a belt and I'm also going to get one of their suits. I like the style they offer at that shop. Who knows what else I'll get there. I'm currently looking into getting some things for my friends.

NES Queen also introduced me to Croc Inc, a store that sells mostly shoes but they offer other materials as well. I haven't gotten anything there yet simply because I haven't been able to make a choice yet. The options are wonderful and I hear that the shoes are most comfortable.

So I was wondering if anyone else knew of any other stores, especially clothing stores. I'm looking for shops with style. Costs matters not. Fate, I particularly would like to know where else you shop, since you probably have a fashion style closer to me than anyone else left here (I miss Altinure).

It doesn't have to be clothing. I'm up for anything. Maybe a store that sells interesting room decorations or something else entirely. w/e, bring it on.

You or may not like some of the T-Shirts they have here.

I'm only known to order useless bric-a-brac and novelty t-shirts online, as well as the occasional hard-to-find old game off of eBay.

The stuff I buy online is usually stuff I can't get anywhere in stores. It's a little eccentric, to say the least, but I'll give you links to good stuff.

www.asianideas.com - One of my favorite for guys being this one.

http://www.urbanoutfitters.com - If your tastes are anything like mine, it's important you at least get one item from this store! Watch your wallet, though. I've never seen a store that carries this stuff, so the link seemed good enough.

http://www.asiajam.com - If you're looking for trendy gifts for girls, this is the place to go.

I have a couple more but they reach the $200+ range. High prices are not really my thing and I don't think they're yours, either.

I never really liked clothes shopping, but I love to look at random trinkets - and this is no exception when it comes to internet shopping. I love to go to that site and look at their random lighters, knives, pens and pocket watches. Perhaps the thing that interests me the most is their engravings deal. Yea, I know I am eccentric.

I've never purchased anything online, except a membership at a forum. Whoo

Thanks, Fate, Those shops are excellent. I've been doing tons of shopping. YesStyle has such a wonderful collection of belts. I've already gotten two and there are a few others I like there, as well. I got a little jean jacket along with them. They should be in by the end of the week.

Girls have such fashionable choices. Guys don't nearly have as many options. Sucks for us, or at least me. Like I could get away with wearing a dodostyle rabbit ear hoodie. You got some style, Fate, Point me towards your suggestions. I'm all up on them. What else you like for guys?

Quoting Dexter: Like I could get away with wearing a dodostyle rabbit ear hoodie.

It's not like anyone is stopping you. They're just going to call you a furry faggot.

I usually don't like wearing material that draws too much attention. I like to blend in. At home I'll wear my Pikachu slippers.

Want to blend in?

I think he meant "blend-in" more like this.

I love Hollister. But Dex is looking for stuff you really can't find in stores. I'd suggest Sean John clothes for a great appearance if we're talking trendy.

Dex: I have a crush on the 70s. A lot of what fashion is today borrows from previous decades. I completely adore what the man on the right is wearing. I love the platform shoes and 70s suit jacket the girl on the right is wearing. And the jean jacket the guy on the left is wearing sells his entire outfit. Even his subtle showing of the green sleeves help in overall appearance. (I hope these links work. :()

I'm so glad someone appreciates my taste in clothes.

That's why you need to take full body shots of yourself. I always want to see what you're wearing and never am able to, except for those older images but old is old.

So now I'm shopping around for a backpack or any sort of carrying bag. I'm considering it my item for this week. I have a couple backpacks, but I've used them roughly outdoors so they're not really suitable for bringing my books to school anymore. I need something new, preferably for my books and maybe, if possible, something large enough to fit my laptop into. The problem with the ones big enough to fit laptops in is that they're usually typically dreadful business looking dully black coated bags. I don't want that.

This is the bestest one I've been able to find and it says it's for girls! :amy: You think anyone would notice? :(

Oh well. I'll probably end up getting this one. You like?

Posted by Fate

The first one would be nice for you if it didn't say "fashion accessory" on it, because if it didn't the pack would be androgynous. The second one might be better for your gender.

Honestly Dexter, I don't know why you worry, and here are my two reasons:

1) At least in my obvservation, most guys who specifically aim to be "trendy" end up using some girly accessories. I've seen plenty of guys with those little backpacks, and often other girly accessories too. It's not really that uncommon.

2. Aren't you Dexterious Sexy Dexy or whatever? You're a fairly flamboyant person, or at least you say you are. Just jump in, buy your trendy products and use them! If they conform to the trends correctly, the only thing you need to do is buy and utilize, right? So, what are you worried about?

those bags seem fairly boring for you. why not make your own at neighborhoodies?

The messenger bag my sister made for me 2 years ago has held up fine and its plenty roomy for tons of books and a laptop.
