Yo folks. Whaddup.
Anybody out there in the world ever personally had the opportunity to mod their NES into anything exciting? I'm going to be at home this summer for the first time in ages now that I'm too old to go run around on a football field with a drum for hours on end, and I thought it would be a great opportunity to do something interesting with that second NES I've got sitting around. Anybody got tips on what to do, what not to do, etc. I'm getting Ben Heck's book http://benheck.com/hacking-videogame-consoles/ for starters and I need to figure out what I want to do with it. Suggestions appreciated.

Make an NES toaster. Keep a fire extinguisher around, just in case.

I did the NES toaster. I was proud of myself. It doesn't work anymore, sadly. :(
Heh, cool project!
I suggest an NES DVD player, or an NES computer.
turn it into a different console 8-) or a waffle maker :o
I suggest make NES case for nintendo wii
I saw an NES alarm clock, but that's almost too useful. You need to make something quirky and weird out of it. Like an EasyBake Oven.
I'm thinking it may be a little too difficult for me, but I want to gut out my NES, place the whole system in a separate container with enough room for batteries to run the thing, attach straps to it, and connect the whole thing to a small screen, and make myself a hodgepodge usable NES Backpack. Probably a little out of my league at this point, but we'll see.
Then I'm gonna take the old casing and modify that into a DVD player. That I think I can do.
