okay here's what happened: one time my little brother alex (6 years old and unable to read) had switched my language settings on sonic advance 2 from english to japanese, then he deleted my data. i had been playing my game to get my stats back (all unlockables + extra level) when about a month when i was playing i got what i called a "ghost of lost data" the deleted data returned. the next day i tried turning on my gameboy and the "ghost" disappeared. anything like this happen to anyone else before on any game?
ps now he can read a little but still ignorantly deletes
Occasionally when an SNES cartridge of mine won't work properly, I take it out and reinsert it into the system, then power on to discover that most or all of my saved data is missing. If I take it out and insert it again, though, all my save files suddenly return. This happened with Secret of Mana recently. Try cleaning the contacts on both your cartridge and system.
