Posted by Ant

Americans think it'll save energy if we put our clocks ahead three weeks early. Spoilers: Canada doesn't agree. Yet, we're still doing it for some reason. ****ing *****es.

i dont believe in daylight savings time

Posted by Red

I don't see the point in it. who the hell invented such a useless thing?

Posted by Ch

You can thank Ben Franklin for that.

Posted by Ant

It does save energy though. More people are awake during the PM hours than the AM hours. During the summer, would you rather have the sun come up at 4am, then set at 7pm; or would you rather have it come up at 5am, and set at 8pm.

Posted by Jesse Smith

I'm shocked!!! The server is actually up-to-date enough to know it started earlier!!! php and mySQL wasn't updated too long ago, but I was guessing the server wouldn't know!!!!

Posted by Ant

the time is still off by an hour.

Posted by Jesse Smith

Not for da rest of us. You have to tell it to change to DST in ur setting.

Posted by Ant

I had it set to automatically detect it. I just changed it to "always on" for the time being.

VGC time is always off. Fittingly enough.

It's so we get more daylight during the spring/summer because the sun sets later, and it sets earlier in the winter so we bring it back down. I think that's how it works.
