Ok, so I have a Mini Stereo system. Has a base unit, and two speakers. My problem is I can't get good reception for FM, and I am having problems with my AM as well.
I went to a friend's house, and he hooked a piece of wire into it. It does improve my FM somewhat, but my AM is acting wacky now. A station that USUALLY comes in clear, isn't for this radio. It actually did come in clear before I used this wire. The only way for me to get this station is if I either hold the bare end of the wire, or stick it in my headphone jack. This is driving me batty.
Also, with my AM, I keep getting feedback from my computer, and I was wondering if there is any way to cut that down? (Besides from turning the computer off.
This is how it's set-up in the back here:
Θ <- FM 75Ω (wire is hooked here)
Θ Θ <- These two are 300Ω (internal antenna hooked here)
Try using a set of 'Bunny-ears' that you would use for a TV. That might help.
Mess with the location of the wire. Moving the wire a mere foot away even can improve or destroy the reception for a radio or TV.
Listen to real music, like MP3s and CDs.
Problem solved! :cookie:
