Has anybody played this? It got good reviews in EGM, so I'm wondering if it's actually any good. Discuss.

I'll probably buy sometime in the next month or so, I've got a nice 14 hour bus ride to Boston coming up in April, probably buy it then to occupy me during that. But it looks fantastic.
So, it's a Boktai sequel, right? Er, will it be a problem if I never played the original Boktais? ;|
