Gather.com is hosting a competition for completed book manuscripts from aspiring authors. Seeing how I've been writing and editing The Adventures of Coarse Limely for several years now, I figured I'd give it a crack. Only the first chapter is posted online for Round 1, but during Round 2, the first 3 chapters will be posted for your reading enjoyment. Only the judges who will eventually determine that my entry is the awesomest thing they've ever read have access to the whole manuscript. Here's the link to Chapter 1, though:
