I think this move looks pretty sweet! the machine gun leg looks cool, but I more looking forward to see Tarantino's flick.
there's a longer trailer but I'm too lazy to look for it :)
Looks like absolute crap.
Looks like fun to me. Good talent and wild idea. I'll be there.
You said it Dex, watching Kurt Russell ride around in a "death proof" stunt car, stalking woman. And a Rodriguez zombie short?
This is the one with Frank Miller right? That's all I care about.
Its not a short. They are both full length features. Played back to back. You know, like at a Grindhouse? You know, like it explains in the trailer?
They're both shorts, asswipe. Both, only lasting little over an hour, I've watched the trailer a few dozen times already and looked them up on www.imdb.com. So **** off with your futile knowledge about nothing you always seem to butt in on. Silly twat..
This is the one with Frank Miller right? That's all I care about.
I haven't noticed anything, directly involving Miller to the film..
Oh :(
There's more to film future than 300, Vampy!!!
Like what about AVP 2? :(
I think both films total are 2 and a half hours long. Didn't it say that in the trailer?
Bzzt wrong. Way to fail research. They are both full length. You do know IMDB said Aunt May was Carnage in Spider Man 3? Next youll be telling me Resevoir Dogs is actually about canines. Silly twat.
F-f-f-fail
Like your opinion even matters in these boards (except to Panic, maybe), we just keep you around to ward off the "creepy" n00bs, now quieten down and stop dicking around, slut.
EDIT: And for the record, I consider any film that doesn't last over at least 120 minutes, a short. Being that Grind House is composed as a double-feature, doesn't suit it as a feature length film. It's just a ****ing showcase effort from Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino. Basically following the concepts of Creepshow, Tales From The Dark Side, and The Twilight Zone flicks.. Being each segment of those films were directed and written by different persons..
Pretty sure full length is 80 minutes, with feature length being 40 to 80. So chances are they fit the definition of full length well enough.

I don't really care V, I'll **** sure see it when it hits the silver screen. I'm a huge Tarantino fan. I dug deeper in search of connections with Frank Miller and GrindHouse, still nothing man.. However, Sin City 2 and 3 are in the works/talks.
Yeah, I'll still see it too, I'm just not really anticipating either.
Hey, guess what guys? this is ****ing retarded and no one gives a ****.
A "short" is 20-40 minutes long. Both are obviously much longer. End of.
I thought it ended when I corrected him and pointed out they are both in fact feature length. Everything after is a result of Downs stupidity.
..blah blah BULLSH*T blah blah..
Thanks for at least attempting to make me laugh, BB. I was having a rather ****ty day, up until the point where I browsed over that cock smothered nonsense. I don't really care too much to get into debate about a film's content, key features, or the cast line-up. I'll still JUST watch the movie for what it is, even if it does turn out to be a total piece of lousy **** stained eye candy. Most of the recent flicks have been far and few between ****ty and worthwhile. So I have to take what I can get for entertainment on the big screen. Can we agree on that?
And on that note, **** this thread..
300 and Hot Fuzz is all I care for at the moment. I don't know if I will be seeing Grindhouse. It looks somewhat good but I just can't picture it being good. I know I will end up seeing it anyways.
I dont beleive for a second your 24. Otherwise I'd be the first time Ive seen an adult get so wound up when being corrected on the duration of a films length. :(
Im more interested in seeing the trailers between. Seeing good trailers has long been one of the best things of a cineam experience.
No BB, I really am 24. And I'm not really wound up man, it's an internets act.
Faux trailers
Between the two segments will be trailers advertising fake films. In an interview with Danny Trejo, the actor said that he will be in a fake trailer for a movie called They Call Him Machete, obviously a reference to Trejo's character of the same name in Rodriguez' Spy Kids series. Trejo's other characters in Rodriguez movies have also had names similar to knives, such as Razor Charlie in From Dusk Till Dawn.[1] According to Fangoria, Rob Zombie is shooting a faux trailer called Werewolf Women of the S.S., featuring Nicolas Cage as Fu Manchu, Udo Kier as SS officer Franz Hess, and Zombie's wife, Sheri Moon Zombie, and Sybil Danning as SS officers/sisters Eva and Gretchen Krupp. Eli Roth's contribution (in addition to an onscreen cameo in Death Proof) will be a promo for the slasher opus Thanksgiving. Shaun of the Dead director Edgar Wright is also directing a trailer, although the title and subject have not been released.
I actually agree with you on that, Bebop, the trailers between each segment are a major reason I'd really like to check it out.
Looks very interesting, there's debate that it might get a NC-17 Rating if very little is cut out. Supposably one scene thats stirring up controversy is an obese man eating a baby. I think its in one of the fake movie trailers made either by Rob Zombie, Eli Roth, or Edgar Wright. Having said that, I think its close to getting cut down to a R rating and eventually an uncut DVD will come out.
WOW! fat people eating babies. this movie is going to be great! i can't friggin wait. the whole premise is just amazing!
Just got back from watching the movie, very enjoyable. I had alot of fun watching the film and in no such way a let down. Fake trailers are hysterical might I add and hopefully this movie will draw a big crowd and; so guys like RR and QT or anyother director cane make more movies with this style.
I heard Death Proof sucked but Planet Terror was cool, which is the complete opposite of what I expected.
I liked both quite a bit, Planet Terror seemed to be more a parody then anything else and Death Proof was a bit more serious and better structured, but still had a lot of goofy moments
Still enjoyed both considerably, felt I got my moneys worth outta of it
I remember when Quentin made good films. I'm not expecting much from this.
Definitely worth the money to see it in the theater with an audience. It's also well worth the time. Both films were excellent. The first one is certainly more fun for the action-junkies though. I'm still having trouble deciding which one I enjoyed more. Right now I'm thinking I liked Planet Terror more, but I have a feeling once I watch it again that I'll like Death Proof more. Fantastic action, hilarious fake trailers, and some familiarity from known directors. Looking forward to seeing it again.
I think I prefered Planet Terron more.
Death Proof was good don't get me wrong, but I found it had no point.
anyway both movies were sweet, and the fake trailers were all great.
When comparing the two, the tone and pace of the movies are totally opposite. Planet Terror was just non stop action and never really focused on the plot, yet your still being entertained. Death Proof was very slow at first and QT focused on the dialogue more than anything in the begining, but once the car scenes come by, everything speeds up incredibly fast.
IMO most people who watch this movie will be all jacked up from the action and the comedy from the first movie and the trailers then you might suddenly get a little bored and irritated in the begining of the second, but Just be patient because the car scenes are worth the wait.
I know I enjoyed the the movie from start to finish and look forward to getting the Unrated DVD to see how much QT and RR had to cut out.
I doubt they cut much out. Unrated versions rarely have much extra of worth, from what I've noticed.
And yeah, after the laughs from the fake trailers and the action of Planet Terror, Death Proof really did feel slow at startup. Although I've been watching QT films for a long time so the dialogue and style was a real treat for me. I could see people getting bored from it though, especially if they don't know his prior work and have come accustomed to the fast-pace action.
Exactly. It's a trap.
