Can you figure this out?
I can tell you only three things; the name of the game is Petals Around The Rose. The answer to any roll of five dice is either zero or an even number. And the answer to any given roll.
Use this little program to roll five dice and try to figure out how the answer is reached. Don't look it up or anything because that just ruins it, you big ruiner. Also, if you do think you've got it, don't post it in the thread. The fun is in working it out for yourself. It's also worth trying a few more rolls to see if your theory checks out.
Here's a few to get you started:
4 6 2 2 1 = 0
6 4 3 5 3 = 8
5 4 1 2 2 = 4

Took me a few minutes because I was trying to think about it in a mathematical/logical way, lots of addition, simultaneous equations... that sort of thing. Then I thought more about the actual name of the game, and looked at the numbers a bit differently... then blamm-O!
