guitar help thread

Posted by Bj Blaskowitz

we needed one.

I decided to pick up the ol' guit-fiddle, and here's my newest project. HOW IN THE HELL DO I TUNE THIS?

I don't know dick about tuning. Any help would be appreciated (step by step please)

We had one, but Sean Fury made it, so we do need one.

Get a guitar tuner, then fine tune. Or buy some D strings.

thanks for nothing, guys

You can tune them by ear using the fifth fret of each string compared to the string below it, except on the G string where you push on the fourth fret and compare it to the open B string below it.

But if you haven't been playing a while, you may not have the ear for it yet and a buying a guitar tuner might be in order. They're easy to use and totally perfect when used properly.

Wow, that seems like a fun tuning. If my strings weren't so old, I'd mess around with that one a bit.

Find the G note on the 6th string, and then tune the 5th string to that sounds, and keep on the same pattern.
