Wii: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Easily the best game, especially with the lack of competition. It was everything I was hoping for and more. The game really succeeds in creating a pleasant aura reminiscent to Ocarina of Time.
Game Cube: Baten Kaitos Origins. Another easy choice. The Game Cube didn't have a good year except for this gem. Fantastic story, interesting characters, enjoyable battle system. I'd really like to see more Baten games in the future.
Xbox 360: Oblivion. I have so much fun exploring the world of Oblivion, much like I did with Morrowind. It really is the highlight of the game for me. Graphically it was probably the best game I've experienced all year.
PS2: Tales of the Abyss. This is the game that I'll probably remember best years from now. The characters alone will be hard to forget. It had an excellent assemble cast. I'm not quite sure if I liked this game more than Tales of Symphonia for the Game Cube. I liked the characters more and the stories seem just as good.
Also, what system do you think had the best year? I think the PS2 had the best year out of all the systems. Tales of the Abyss, Kingdom Hearts 2, and Okami were some strong highlights of the year. I haven't even gotten to Final Fantasy yet.

For the 360, I'd definately say Gears of War. I've had so much fun playing it on and offline. Very refreshing to play a tactical "blow **** up" game after playing Halo 2 for so long.
Rainbow Six > Gears in just about every way.
