The Album of VGC

Posted by Vampiro V. Empire

Let's see if this actually works. Go into your library, hit random, and upload the song it lands on. Simple as that. At the end we'll see what kind of gay **** we came up with and I'll most likely burn it onto a CD to enjoy over the holidays.

Also: no one better make a fuss over "oh no you can't post links to a song." I'll call you a little ***** if you do. And no one wants that.

After not liking any of the songs that were coming up, I finally decided to pick the next song that came up no matter what, and the result is...
http://rapidshare.com/files/7967022/03_what_u_need.mp3.html
What u need by Hideki Naganuma featured in the game Sonic Rush for the DS

I was semi-pleased with the results. Could have been something better, coulda been worse though, too. So there you go!

Yann Tiersen - Les Jours Tristes

Haha, wow. Near perfect choice since it's a song anyone can enjoy. It's the kind of song that gets stuck in your head in a pleasant way and makes you want to hum it. He's an avant-garde musician who uses all kinds of instruments to make very grandiose, though minimal in nature, music. Though this particular song isn't minimal in any sense of the word.

Hrvatski - "2nd Zero Fidelity Mandible Investigation"

I had completely forgotten about this song until it randomly came up on my playlist, and I can say that I'm glad it did. I love this song, and even though it's definitely not for everyone, I have a feeling Vamp (and probably a few other people) will enjoy it. Starts off with a trippy little piano bit, then out of nowhere dives into a very Venetian Snares-esque breakcore frenzy, and then descends into a style of music that you'd probably hear from a 1920s cartoon. More of the crazy breakcore beats are soon to come afterwards, followed by a nice ambient part to close the song out. For a song that's almost four minutes long, it manages to cover a fair amount of ground. It's very entertaining in my opinion.

I always listen to this song at least once a day, dunno what everyone else will think of it thou since it might be outside their own genre of expertise.

Song: "Join the Rejects"
Band: Cockney Rejects

Some crappy (as it shoudl be) Oi! Punk. Now I'm going to have "join the rejects and get yourself killed" stuck in my head all day.

Edit: Wow, this cd is soooo crappy so far, I love it. Especially Vamp's song. Jesus that's horrible.

Song: Tenth Man Down
Band: Nightwish

It just wouldn't be a vgc cd without some Nightwish eh? We should do another vgc cd where everyone uploads a song they actually listen to. I mean, this one's great because it's going to be utter shit, but it'd be cool to have one that's good and stuff.

Okay, here's what I got:

"Coming Up" by Paul McCartney. The vocals are like the Chipmunks, almost. LOL...

War - Lux Occulta

Opened iTunes and this was the first song that played.

And its really good.

Heh, my first two were Wrapped in Black and Ethno Circus, but Ant already had a Sonic Rush track. Third time I ended up with the Black Mages' version of Clash on the Big Bridge.

Personally I was hoping for Lament of Innocence, Showdown With Hector, or Metroid Metal Phendrana Drifts, but CotBB is just as awesome.
