My FPS Ideas

Posted by Drewboy64

I am getting impatient, as all the FPS's for Wii so far have been dissappointing. So I made up some controls.
Yup.

Up: Switch Tertiary Item
Down: Crouch/Prone
Left: Switch Weapon
Right: Switch Grenade
A: Jump
B: Use Weapon
+: Pause
-: Tertiary Weapon/Item
1: View Score (Multiplayer)
2: N/A

Analogue: Walk, Strafe,
Z: Prime Grenade, Fire Secondary Weapon
C: Action

Nunchuk Down: Reload

Remote Forward: Melee
Remote Tilt: 45 degrees to tilt from cover, 90 degrees to turn and shoot from cover*
Remote Pull Back: Zoom
Z+ Remote Movement: Lob, roll or drop grenade.

*You could have your back against a wall, then rotate the controller 90 degrees and turn and peek out the corner, a la Gears of War. Or if you were facing the wall but in cover you could tilt it a bit and peek out.

Quoted post: A: Jump

C: Action

Switch these two.

And:

Left: Switch Weapon Left
Right: Switch Weapon Right
+: Switch Item/Grenade right
-: Switch Item/Grenade Left
1: Tertiary Weapon/Item
2: View Score (Multiplayer)

**** pause.

Also, the buttons are fine in games as is. It's the movement of the Wiimote that sucks.

It'll get better eventually, hopefully Nintendo really decides to go with this and than we'll have something awesome in the years to come.

I forgot to mention I would want a full resizable aiming box.
But yeah, I guess we'll have to wait for a good FPS to come out.

Metroid Prim- OH WAIT, THAT'S A FPA. NEVERMIND.

ten bux says it closer to Hunters in that there will be a lot more shooting.

Quoting Zeta: Metroid Prim- OH WAIT, THAT'S A FPA. NEVERMIND.

Yeah, hunters ****ed things up.

Hunters was a great game, MP3 will be more of an FPA, although it will be more shooter-esque. And besides, that IS a game we have to wait for.

Hunters was terrible. The single-player was downright awful, though the mutiplayer was good for what it was. MP3 will most likely take a middle-ground with a lot more shooter elements, while still focusing on adventure and exploration.
