I could never get into Castlevania. I liked the Mana games more. They were like LoZ, only prettier.
Minish Cap is far prettier than any GBA Mana game.

The only good mana game was apparently the original for SNES.
ORIGINAL MANA GAME WAS FOR GAMEBOY LOL. FINAL FANTASY ADVENTURE.
And I find Seiken Densetsu 3 to be superior to Secret of Mana, although I can't get into them too much. The whole undodgable magic thing ****es me off.
Sword of Mana, but that's a remake of Final Fantasy Adventure, so I don't know if you count it as a "GBA RPG."

I haven't tried ToP yet, but when I get the chance I'll give it a go.
Definitely do so. The Tales series, for the most part, is fantastic. Looking forward to future installments.
It's not really that good
It's rad. What hogwash do you speak!? Symphonia and Abyss might be better, but Phantasia is still one of the better RPGs for the GBA, if not the best, although I suppose I would consider it more of a Super NES RPG. idk.
I like Phantasia more than Symphonia, actually. I miss the linear battle field. :(
The GBA version of ToP was horrible. Fukken atrocious English VAs, slowdown at the end of fights, and the non-Japan versions get screwed out of Sound Test.
Truth. There's no comparison. It was a really bad port.
ToP has a real-time system. The storyline isn't bad at all either. I doubt VA quality matters much to you, so you probably won't be dissapointed by that. You can play as any of the characters during battle too, which makes a big difference in battle gameplay for real-time battles.

The battle system isn't too annoying, but if you haven't powered your guys up, a boss's overdrive will take you out like *snaps* that.
The game has some funny dialougue, though. And bath scenes!

You can only use these items a certain number of times in a battle
And certain characters work better with certain items, example: The main charcter is better with swords than with a bow

Eh, I didn't find it too annoying. Some good puzzles and good character interaction. I ENJOYED IT!
